DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!!!…read more I couldn't be more DISAPPOINTED in the INSUFFICIENT inspection that was done by Jeff. This was the absolute WORST inspection I've ever seen in my life. Jeff was hired by my real estate agent to provide an inspection on a 7 unit apartment complex that I recently purchased. Jeff actually charged me $1,000 for this lousy inspection. NOT WORTH IT!!! When you hire a home inspector, you expect them to have some integrity and to thoroughly inspect your property. Well, neither happened with Jeff and "Titan Inspection Services". VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! First of all, Jeff only checked 6 out of the 7 units. For some reason Jeff said he was unable to go into one of the units because the tenant had dogs. The COC inspector performed his inspection at the same exact time as Jeff and was able to check all 7 units with no problem. When it comes to the 6 units Jeff actually inspected, (if you want to actually call it an inspection) Jeff just turned on the facets in the kitchens and the bathrooms and made sure all the toilets flushed. And that's it!!! Jeff did not check any of the appliances or the window air conditioners. Jeff did not check any of the cabinets, drawers or closet doors. Jeff did not check the boiler or the heating system. Jeff had nothing in the inspection in regards to the walls, ceilings, or floors of the units. Jeff gave us his word that he would come back and check the last unit on a different day because the tenant left and he was afraid of her dogs. My real estate agent contacted Jeff and asked for his availability to come back and check the last unit. My real estate agent and Jeff agreed on a date that would work for all of us. The seller of the apartment gave the tenant a 24 hour notice, letting her know that another inspection would be performed on her unit however, a couple hours before the scheduled inspection, Jeff canceled stating that he was double booked and could not make it. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! We had no more time left for our inspection period, so we never got the last unit inspected. So far, we've found more than one unit with broken closet doors and cabinets that were not in Jeff's inspection report. We haven't closed yet so we haven't been able to get in and thoroughly check everything else in the complex. We expect to find more surprises that we're not found or checked by Jeff. All the inspections that I've had in the past were 10 times more thorough than the inspection Jeff provided. Jeff and Titan Inspections should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!! I would NEVER HIRE this guy in the future and I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! HIRE SOMEONE ELSE!!!

I Hired Total Home Inspection to inspect my home. I paid an additional charge for a termite…read moreinspection. Among the myriad of problems that have arisen throughout our first two months of home ownership there included obvious evidence of termite damage to the wood floors throughout our home. I immediately contacted Terminex and they confirmed my fears of extensive termite damage all throughout the home. The inspector did not furnish us a copy of his termite report until the day of closing and this report held key information that I needed to make an informed purchase decision on the home. Total Home Inspection reported no visible termite damage to the home. The report I was initially furnished only said the structure showed evidence of previous treatment. Although this was true, the previous company only treated the garage,and only showed evidence of treatment on one side. This information was never relayed to me in the slightest. The inspector told me that he had never seen termites return to a home that had been previously treated, assuaging my fears. Up until this point I had been willing to swallow the 20 ft horizontal crack in my foundation that was not found, and the fact I have water leaking in the garage from the roof and foundation. Was accepting the reality of water breaching my kitchen ceiling and three places in the basement wall. I was fine with the fact the the inspector missed the basement toilet was connected using a natural gas line and both my front stoop and back door basically funnel water into my house. The termites was where I drew the line. I made a phone call to Total Home Inspection and they sent someone out to "re-inspect," because the worker who inspected my home no longer works there. The second inspector basically looked all through the house listing the various reasons the termite inspector might have missed the blatantly obvious damage, took a look at the Terminex report, scoffed that it was insanely high and assured me he would get in contact with me after talking to some of his "friends." I waited 9 days with no response. I then contacted him again and asked him what was going on. He basically tells me the first inspector did everything right and that's that. Don't use Total Home Inspection. Hire professionals in specific areas to inspect your home AND NEVER USE YOUR REALTOR'S PREFERRED INSPECTOR. I feel like such a fool and have watched what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life turn into a never ending nightmare. I know they won't ever do right by me, but I will do everything I can to spread the word and prevent others from being taken advantage of.
