Our daughter has been going to McKenzie Montessori since Nov 2020. She had been though a lot of transitions prior to that and since we were new to town during the pandemic with both parents working, we knew she needed an in-person option for school- so we were happy to find McKenzie Montessori had availability. They offer drop off as early as 7:30am and pick ups as late as 5:30pm which helps for the demanding schedules we have. They serve snacks and meals so we don't have to worry about packing lunches. We love the montessori model of learning- with the pandemic, it's been important that each child is challenged at the level they're on. She quickly made friends and has been enjoying the teachers and the school since she started. Her teachers have gone out of their way to make her feel important and have even sent her home with gifts! The area in which I see room for Improvement would be in communication. I'm not sure who to talk to about what and I don't get a lot of feedback about her learning progress. In contrast to her previous (pre)school experience- I don't get as much information as I used to about what she does day to day, there's just less communication and which can be frustrating. They do have a parents page on Facebook where they will post but not everyone uses Facebook. She seems happy and we've seen her applying her math and reading skills at home so we know she's been progressing. We will be keeping her in school through the summer and in the fall as well and would recommend McKenzie Montessori to friends. read more

My son started at McKenzie Montessori in Jan. 2025 in the infant room. We had been on many daycare tours and were so excited when we found this daycare. Even though we loved them from the very beginning it is still so hard to make that transition after being home with him. Alyssa made it so much easier by sending pictures whenever requested and communicating so well. The best thing about MMI is that they genuinely care for your child. They cheer him on when meeting milestones and seem so genuinely excited to see him in the morning. The bonus things we love about MMI infant room: They have a bottle sanitizer and just keep your bottle there and wash it in the kitchen every night. They give your child three puree snacks every day. These are such small things but make for less things to remember on busy mornings! Although of course infant care is expensive no matter what, MMI was actually more affordable than other local options and provided more in the way of hours open and snacks provided. We have been beyond happy with the care they have provided for our son. read more

I cannot put into words how amazing McKenzie Montessori Institute is. Like many, I was incredibly nervous about our little one starting school--especially as a Covid baby, he really only knew our immediate circle. But from day one, this entire team,made us feel completely at ease. Every single person who works here is truly exceptional. Their warmth, empathy, and genuine care for each child is something you can feel the moment you walk through the doors. Communication is open, consistent, and honest--I never feel out of the loop or unsure about what's happening during the day. What really sets this place apart is how personalized the experience is. The activities are creative, engaging, and thoughtfully tailored and they recognize and nurture each child's individual growth in the most beautiful way. When I was pregnant, I began looking for daycare at about 7 months. I was so worried looking for a quality place that would care for my child. My neighbor's daughter, who was in kindergarten at the time, kept taking about how much she loved going here. When my husband and I took a tour, we knew almost immediately this was the place for us. Michele, the Director, was so kind and passionate about what she does. The teachers have all been exceptional, loving and caring. The administration is responsive and cares about what you care about. I would highly recommend them! My 18 month old loves going to school each day. I just wish they went until 5th grade so we could keep him there longer! read more

All 3 of my boys attend McKenzie Montessori & it was by far the best decision we have ever made! Shannon & Michelle (and all the other amazing teachers & staff) are great! Any questions I have ever had they take the time to answer. The teaching style is amazing & my kids are testing far above their grade levels in almost every subject. My youngest (3 yrs old) loves going to "school" with his older brothers & it's so nice to be able to pick them all up from 1 location! I have all 3 of my kids at McKenzie Montessori & could not be happier. Our 6 year old twins went from being moderately interested in school to absolutely loving it & thriving! They are in kindergarten and are currently both reading at a second grade level! I cannot put into words the complete change we saw in both of them when we switched from public school to McKenzie Montessori. The best part is that our 2 year old can go there also! I can't even begin to express my gratitude for this school and the staff. My son has flourished from going here. He is only 20 months old and is an only child, but does so well with other kids from socializing with the other kids here. The teachers and other staff treat him as if he were their own family and I've seen them do this with all the children that go there. They truly care about their students and the families. read more

We have twin grandsons in the kindergarten class this past year. What a difference this school has made in their reading, comprehension, and spelling. The staff communicates clearly with the students which makes learning less stressful and much more fun. These 6 yr olds are reading and writing and are proud of their achievements.
