We've been to Hendricks Park, Clearwater Park, and Mt. Pisgah. There are many different themes to pick from and something for everyone. The counselors have fun camp names like Frog, Root, Tadpole, and Hoverfly. They end every week with personalized notes to each camper from the counselors, which is very sweet. The only downfall is that it is pricey. My daughter only does one week each summer. I really appreciate that they have plenty of staff and that they pay them well, but the cost will probably be prohibitive for many. They have scholarships available, but they cannot be applied to multiple weeks. Next year we will try to budget for two weeks of camp because it is such a great experience and something she looks forward to every year.

Fast forward a few months after moving I received a dream job offer at a medical spa that has a location in both Washington and Oregon meaning I needed my Certified Advanced Esthetic license with the state of Oregon to perform the treatments we offer at the spa. Unfortunately hours from Washington to Oregon don't completely have reciprocity between the two, which means I needed to work with a school to make up hours (a CAE license is 500 hours of schooling meaning I had to make up 50 hours). When I tell you I reached out to MULTIPLE schools in Oregon to try and find even a little help to point me in the right direction, Michele at the Advanced Esthetics Institute not only responded to me very quickly EAGER to help me, she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure that she could help me get my CAE license without any hesitation, and made me feel so comfortable coming to her with any questions regarding this situation. She truly was the only school/person that even seemed to want to help me so I am so so thankful for that - even though I live 2+ hours away from this school, I knew it would be worth every penny and mile to make up time to get my license. From the start, Michele and her employees were always so kind, timely, responsive, and truly made me feel so welcomed and understood with the situation I was going through. Michele even helped find me accommodations when I would drive down weekly, and always checked in to make sure I had everything I needed. The teachers are very nice, kind and responsive!, especially Mrs Nickie & Ms Jenny who usually run the business. The place is clean & neat even in the afternoon after kids have been messing around. Haha. My daughter loves singing since she's been in new berries.
