I have had 3 separate instances where I paid my bill on time either by paper or online and the payment was not assigned to my account. When I call to investigate, they never know where the payments are but they most certainly know how to deduct them from my bank account! read more

Wish a zero rating was possible. If you use McKesson for supplies assume that you will be liable and billed for any screw ups on their end. I was assigned to MPCS by my health plan and DME middle man. They shipped out a double order, billed it to the DME middle man that denied the second order as it wasn't covered. I got a bill months later stating that I owed them for the second order even though I didn't request it. They never reached out before billing me to attempt to retrieve the supplies during their allowed 30 day return window. If you manage to not notice their screw up, they will say that it's all your fault because you didn't let them know they screwed up. Their customer service is abysmall, expect to be transferred around and around and around if you have an issue because nobody is actually able to do anything in the customer service or billing department. read more

When he delivers our bin with the supplies, he goes above and beyond by stacking the supplies. The drop off area is next to the Post Operative Patient room and he is always respectful and quiet so the patient never sees or hears him. They still have me on record at the address I asked them to remove when I moved three years ago. Customer service is nonexistent. Any medical supply company that hires McKesson does not care for their customers. This is an ongoing situation. Thirty minute hold times; reps that have no helpful information (but lots of apologies), and hang ups without the courtesy of a return call. So you call again and begin the holding again. read more

If I could give no stars I would. This company has the worst communication. Took two months TWO MONTHS post surgery to get my supply situation straightened out! Mind you I have an ostomy and NEED my supplies. I got several excuses that they did not have a prescription despite receiving it several times! Nobody communicated to me that there was an issue. I was promised deliveries multiple times that were never delivered with a zero supply "supply" remaining. Literally the worst company ever. They told me my breast pump would cost $80 out of pocket. I paid that amount and then then told me it's actually $100. Instead of billing me the difference, they billed me twice and sent me two pumps. I returned the second pump. Months later I am still being billed for it and now being threatened that it will go to collections. I have in writing from there representative that I do not owe this money and that she would resolve it. Clearly that never happened. The whole situation was all THEIR mistakes. Terrible company with horrible customer service. New moms do not have time to deal with this, nor should anyone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! Do NOT use Mckesson for medical supplies. Some of the worst customer service I have ever received. First they took a week to approve my order with my insurance plan and then once approved I called to place my order. They took my payment on a Saturday and then Monday I received an email that my order was cancelled since they don't work with my insurance anymore. They had a whole week to figure that out but of course they had no problem taking my money! Not only was my order cancelled but then you still have to call to get your money refunded (if you are canceling my order, this should be automatic.) Once again good luck dealing with their phone operators. Then they said it would be 7-10 business days to get refunded and guess what.. it's day 10 and I still haven't been refunded. This company is awful. It's been a 2 month process to get my breast pump. Every step of the way, my order got delayed because they did not communicate with me when they needed something else from me. The order just stops processing in their system, and it's only each time when I call that they see they need more information (or that my order was cancelled, and STILL didn't let me know until I finally called). I ordered a breast pump back in august 2018 before my son was born. Talked with a lady and she had told me the breast pump would be FREE. I picked out a breast pump and they billed my insurance for almost QUADRUPLE what the original store price was. Then they sent me a 100$ bill saying my insurance didn't approve all the cost. After receiving a bill I call customer service and it was the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Everyone was rude, not helpful and full of LIES. The supervisors wouldn't return my call and kept pushing me off, putting me on hold and making up lies. You can hear laughing in the background of the calls and everyone is VERY unprofessional. McKesson Patient Care Solutions is the worse. If you want High Blood Pressure get your supplies from them. When I used to deal with Sterling medical - they were awesome. Now with McKesson there is one problem after another. I never get my 90 day supplies after ordering and I have to call them. There is always some excuse. They talk to you on the phone as if you the patient is trying to rip them off. Horrible customer service. They give you a difficult time on the things you order like they say "WE don't want to get stuck with paying for these." They are so horrible - it is beyond words. McKesson is the chosen supplier for my ostomy supplies through the hospital. I had my surgery 2-weeks ago and still cannot get my supplies. First McKesson told the nurse they were trying to reach me - no one had called. So I called them, they said they didn't need to speak with me. Then McKesson told my nurse that my insurance company wouldn't validate coverage. So I called the insurance company and we conferenced in McKesson who said that everything was fine with the insurance and they were trying to reach me for payment but "hadn't had time to call". My insurance company - on the call with us - pointed out that there is no co-pay ever for these types of supplies with my insurance coverage. McKesson said they'd rush the order, but still no joy. ADVOID AT ALL COST!! I will be looking for a new supply company ASAP. read more

I have been using Sterling Medical for 16 years, and have had five star service, but, since it has been taken over by Mckesson, it has been nothing but problems. It took an excessive amount of time to get my last order because they were getting approval from my Doctor, called my Doctor and he sent it two days prior. Placed an order two weeks ago, never did get it so reordered a week ago, finally chatted with them, and again, it is being delayed because of Doctor approval, and it will be a couple more days before it's sent. I am currently looking for a new supplier, but, having a difficult time finding one with good reviews, but know I am changing suppliers. read more

Used this company for the first time just to try them out. Faxed request on a Monday 08/28/17 10:40 am and on Thursday 08/31/17 we called because the patient had not received his supplies. We were told by customer service that they have a two day delivery time frame. We informed customer service that it had been four days already. Customer service said that they had received the fax but had not read the fax until Thursday. They stated that the ICD 10 code was not valid and that they didn't provide certain supplies that were requested on the requisition form. Very frustrating since the fax was not looked at for four days and if we had not called nothing would have been taken care of for this patient. We were informed by customer service that patient should receive supplies by Tuesday since Monday was Labor Day. Wow!!!! Horrible customer service and lack of concern for patient's welfare. Never use this company!!! To be continued will let you know if and when the supplies get delivered to the patient. Sigh!!! Update!!!! As of Tuesday 09/05/17 called to check on delivery, not even shipped yet and customer service informed us that insurance is still pending they have not even processed the insurance 9 days later. The patient has BCBS of AZ which McKessin said was one of their insurances that the provide for and that they would deliver in 2 days initally. Now 9 days later and nothing has been even started we cancelled the order with McKessin patient care solutions and sent everything to Edgepark who is awesome and I highly recommend Edgepark for all supplies they are professional and patient advocates unlike McKessin. read more

I am a 60 year-old newly diagnosed Type 2 diabetic who received one shipment of supplies (test strips, etc.) from McKesson Patient Care Solutions. Knowing I was going to lose my health insurance on the last day of November, 2017, (because I lost my job) I called McKesson to re-order supplies in mid-November. An agent told me I would be eligible for additional supplies on November 28th and told me I could not place an order in advance to be processed on the 28th; that I would have to call back on the 28th. He assured me that would be sufficient time to process and ship the order. On November 28th, I called McKesson to place the order and reminded them that as I would no longer have medical insurance in two days, time was off the essence. Again I was assured that there should be no problem. By December 5th I still had not received my supplies. Later that day a representative from McKesson called to tell me my insurance had denied the charges because they processed the order AFTER my insurance expired. I did everything exactly the way McKesson told me to do it, when they told me to do it. Because of their error, I cannot get my diabetic supplies as they promised. The company representative could offer nothing more than an apology, and refused to accept any responsibility for their role in this. I suggested that it McKesson should send the order anyway as a gesture of goodwill. Their representative said that wasn't company policy. I will soon be out of supplies to monitor by blood sugar and cannot afford to buy more. Thanks, McKesson. You are true professionals ! (sarcasm intended) read more

Would have been -o- bet couldn't put that amount in. I have been using coude catheters for 8 years and never paid for them after my deductible with Medicare. This year the contracted price was $14.46 each. I have always paid less than $2.00 each. Even after their adjustments and payment from Medicare I still owe almost $250. Buyer beware. I have been a customer of McKesson Medical Surgical for 28 years, and would NEVER use them again, nor would I recommend any other medical practice use their services. Recently, my current employer would not supply N-95 respirators during the Covid-19 crisis. I reached out to my former McKesson sales rep Andy Hilton for assistance in acquiring N95's. He stated he would "lay some aside" and that I would receive them within 2 weeks. I placed an order with him for these, and $500 worth of other medical supplies. When I inquired 2 months later why I never received my N95's nor the sanitizer wipes I had ordered with him, he became offensively defensive and he basically said buzz off. I called corporate, who informed me that Andy had NEVER ORDERED the N95's OR the sanitizer wipes, which is why I opened the account in the first place. I got the email address for Andy Hilton's manager Matthew Wulf from corporate, whom I proceeded to e-mail regarding the customer NO-SERVICE from Andy Hilton, and I never received a reply from Matt Wulf. I also asked corporate to contact Mr. Wulf, whom apparently he ignored as well. As you can see, it is apparent why I recommend that NO MEDICAL PRACTICE EVER use McKesson Medical Surgical for medical supplies. read more

Sterling Medical Services as a medical supplier providing individuals with home care medical items. They are one of the few local suppliers that carry diabetic supplies, enteral supplies, infusion supplies, ostomy supplies, respiratory, skincare, urological supplies along with wound care and general medical supplies. I would rate them high for taking care of medical insurance billing and really fast delivery of supplies once you can get an order place. Where they are really lacking is in their customer service telephone support. The people who answer the calls are apathetic - they have no emotion and could care less about when you get your items or when you don't so placing orders can be challenging. My biggest complaint with this company is automatic monthly or quarterly orders. Some insurance companies prohibit automatic reorders so the customer or patient has to call Sterling to reorder supplies. Sterling offers a service where they call the customer to confirm they need the supplies. Unfortunately they fail to make those calls despite reassuring you that they are going to do it. This can be very problematic and leave people without the right supplies in any given month. They need to improve customer support and they need to improve the ordering for regular supply customers. Once they get your order, they are the best in town for delivering in a timely manner. They even send email communications with UPS tracking numbers so you know when to expect the package and they also send you an email once UPS confirms the package was delivered. If they can improve their customer service, they would be a five-star operation. read more

Over the last several years when it was Sterling Medical Supplies I never had an issue ordering my medical suppiles. I would call re-order my supplies on a Monday and by the end of the week I would have my supplies I would also get reminder phone calls and emails, this dwent away. In the last year I did not run into any issues, none at all until last week, I ran into an issue where I was down to one box of colostomy bags and hoping that by the end of last week I would have received my new suppiles by Thursday or Friday unfortunately it doesn't happen that way. I called Tuesday to order supplies, the customer service rep. was nice and took my information and new insurance information and said she would start porcessing the order. I usually get an email update over a day or two from UPS that my medical suppiles have shipped. On Thursday I started to panic that I didn't hear or get an email update so I called Mc Kesson. The woman I spoke to told me that they were waiting on a new prescription from my Ostomy Doctor and that this is a new protocol. I expalined to her I never heard of this before, in the past I was able to call, order suppiles and within a day or two I got my suppiles. This new protocol stinks and is very inconvient, on top of this new protocol I was also given misinformation from the same customer service rep. telling me to call Coloplast and get samples to get me through until my new suppiles came. I did what was suggested by the CSR. I was told by the representive from Coloplast that they just don't give samples to get patients through until they receive their suppiles that is just against their rules and regulations and she can get fired. Tomorrow will be a week that I called Sterling which is now Mc Kesson and I never had to wait a week for new supplies on top of miscommunication and waiting because of this new protocol I am now down wearing my last bag. I'm not looking for sympothy but what am I supposed to do now? walk around with a zip lock bag attached to my stoma? I mean really! I also agree with Janice L. Sterling in the past use to call their patients as a courtsy to remind their patients that new suppiles need to be ordered or send you an email, now with this new company Mc Kesson they also fail in this catagory along with the new protocol. The CSR I spoke to this morning was located in Minnesota, what happened speaking to someone in New Jersey? Mc Kesson also blames the insurance companies and also went to explain to me that Sterling was not getting paid which is why of the company change. I think too much information is being given out that customers should not know about. I mean do I really care? I just want my supplies, where are they? I'm really thinking about changing supply compaines. Iwould like to add that on top of the added new protocol when I spoke to the CSR I tod her my situation that I was down to two bags and that I don't think I would get through the weekend, her response was " I don't know what to tell you." that is not a response a customer need or wants to hear a little help goes along way, obvisouly this new compnay does not care about their patients. read more

Most of my orders are wrong, packed with loose items that get bent during shipping and online orders are a total waste of time since they can never find them after I've sent them. Trying to order online is like doing so during the early days of the Internet - no drop-down boxes, if you have new items to order you have to type/spell-out each and every item. I was recently surgically changed from an end-ileostomy to a loop-ileostomy, so my ostomy needs completely changed. I typed out all of the new supply order. They shipped everything except the POUCHES!! Gee, thanks, McKesson. No explanation, nothing. Through a series of phone calls I found out they were waiting for something to be faxed back from my dr's office, even though I had faxed McKesson, and they acknowledged receipt of, THE SURGEON-SIGNED PRESCRIPTION FORM setting forth the entire supply order. I called every day for a status update, many times sitting on hold from 15+ minutes. However, the norm was 5 minutes +/-. On three occasions the CSR said so-and-so wasn't available, the people in the warehouse were in a meeting, blah, blah, and they promised to call me back when they got their answer. They never called back. On three different calls, I asked where my dr's office should be faxing the required info - I got a different SET of fax numbers each time - sometimes New Jersey, sometimes Alabama, but all different. When things finally got straightened out, they shipped my pouches....2-day delivery instead of the overnight I begged for and CSR reps said they had vehemently requested. I started this order on 6/29, the night I arrived home from the hospital, who had sent me home with 14 days of supplies. My completed order arrived on day 15. Another day or two, I would've been duct-taping ziplock baggies to my gut! All that being said, I started researching alternative suppliers - Edgepark, Byram, etc. They all have terrible reviews. I guess poor order fulfillment and customer service are industry standard. read more

My insurance gave a special exception to cover a particular wound dressing but McKesson refused to Bill the insurance directly because " that's not how we always do it". My insurance provider listed Mckesson Patient Care Solutions as one of the 3 companies I could go through to get a free breast pump. After looking at the 3 companies all having only 2 stars I decided to take my chances with Mckesson since there were only 2 reviews. I must say I am pleasantly surprised. I was initially told it would take 3-5 business days to confirm with my insurance company that they would cover the pump. That same day I received an email saying I could email my doctors prescription to them or have my doctor fax over the prescription. Since I already received the prescription I emailed it over. The next day I received an email saying my insurance approved and to pick a pump. I started all of this on Tuesday and received the pump on Friday!!! Good Friday at that, but that's not why it is good. Either way I would go through this company again. The customer service was exceptionally nice and helpful. read more
