Bonnie the owner asked me to call before arriving. So at 2pm I called and left a voice message of our arrival at 5:00. When entering at 5, she stated no call was received, and the room was not ready so we left for dinner. When we came back, we were told there was no room key. After speaking with another quest they also had no way to lock their room. Then Bonnie stated the wash cloths could not be used to remove make up use only wipes only. (OK) Next day we stated the room did not have to be re-tided. When coming back the door was wide open.( Forgot to mention the shades are old and slightly torn. I had trouble keeping them up, so I tied the blind string together for privacy.) She txt me at dinner stating she entered the room, and I ripped the blinds from the frames and would be charged on my credit card!!!!!! That issue was resolved when the strings were untied. No apology was given. What a night mare. We left as soon as we could the next day before breakfast was served and went to a restaurant to eat instead of staying for breakfast. Would never again return to this place. Very strange. This is my first negative review every given for a B & B.

She was so helpful during our stay and made some absolutely delicious breakfasts. The first morning we had peach French toast with breakfast sausage. The second morning we had a bacon and cheese omelette with avocado toast. I for the life of me cannot remember the name of the room we stayed in, but it was so nice. There was a massive bed with a canopy over it, that was oh so comfortable. There was a fire place that could be turned on and off, that was nice to have in cold October. The bathroom was also so spacious, with a stand up shower and a jacuzzi tub. The house has this quaint elegance to it, and they have so much for you to do there. They have a bunch of different puzzles and board games you can play. They have a lot of older books you can read in their little library. They also had a TV that you could watch. The house is also sat right next to the Thousand Island Club golf course. They had two bikes my wife and I were able to ride around the area on. We absolutely loved our time here at the Hart House. And we have already been trying to plan a trip to come back!

A few days later, I received an email, from Expedia, letting me know that since "I CANCELED MY RESERVATION," at Chateau Country Inn, a refund was forthcoming..... The PROBLEM is THIS..... I, nor my husband, canceled our reservation so I needed to find out what was going on. I made approximately 5 phone call attempts, with voice mails left, requesting a call back from someone to discuss. I NEVER heard from ANYONE from Chateau Country Inn!! I then drafted an email and finally received a cold reply stating basically.." sorry, we can't offer you a room if we have none available. " There was ZERO explanation to what happened; apparently they didn't care. Obviously the cancellation was processed on THEIR END, by not honoring my CONFIRMED RESERVATION! My point is this!!!! If establishments are booking via any of the travel sites it is poor business & unprofessional NOT making sure that THEIR website is up to date and/or accurate... Sadly, the additional plans that I made, AFTER receiving my CONFIRMATION, had to be altered. Needless to say leaving us, and others, at quite a disadvantage for the days planned.... Would I ever consider booking with this location again???????? Not a chance and neither would many others to whom I have shared my experience...

There are plenty of RV parks, but hotels, restaurants and grocery stores are few and far between. Our room at the Marina Inn and Suites was charming and spacious overlooking a field that was utilized as a lacrosse field from 8 am till 8 pm. Towels and hot water were all more than adequate; king bed was comfortable. Down on the first floor is the ice machine and a washer/dryer area. Dryer came in handy since it was raining most of the weekend of our stay. Staff are on duty until 8 pm most days. The building is close to the water and has adequate parking for this building. Out back was a marina and a restaurant which unfortunately had closed due to COVID last year. It was open for two dates, one of which we were staying at the inn and one at the end of the month. The bad news was there was no table availability. We were welcome to check out the bar and sit in the adirondack chairs but weather being what it was, we opted for other entertainment. The restored building next door was now a YMCA which was open for occupants of the Inn. We did not utilize this because unless you walk about a bit, you won't know it's the Y. In this area of buildings that have been restored, is another surprise - a pizza shop. Another review to come. If I go back to Lake Ontario, I am sure that the Inn and Suites will be on our list of places to see and stay at again.

I usually have a hard time sleeping through hotel noises (other visitors, fans turning on and off, elevators, etc...), but none of these things existed. The bed was perfectly comfortable, and the room was stocked with whatever we might need. The decor is dated, but with such a reasonable price (compared to other options) and so much else going for the inn, we'll happily accept some well used furniture and carpets. The gorgeous pool area, volleyball, and shuffleboard is always fun and catching the sunset from the fishing docks is beautiful. They have a screened gazebo, shady areas at the pool with wash off stations and restrooms, a huge field for kids to play in, a little playground, and a few different areas to have camp fires. There's a few spot to dock boats and a couple of fish cleaning stations as well. The true gems are the cozy cottages. We stay in the "tiny house" #29 or #30. Both have porches overlooking the river and are up to date in their decor. It definitely feels like a treat staying at Angel Rock. We stayed during the pandemic and they are taking EXTRA precautions to keep staff and visitors safe with deep cleaning in between guests and contactless check in and check out.

I fit in the shower but it was tight. Each room had a box a/c. Downstairs had another bedroom, modest size dining room, living room and a large bathroom. We had a private deck with BBQ grill which included deck furniture. The place itself was very clean and there was no musky smell. It turned out to be a pretty nice place to stay.

This is why i picked it, that and everything else was picked over. This motel was very easy to find and walking distance from everything in the bay. I was nervous about how dirty it might look or feel, but it wasn't that bad. it does need a make over on the inside of the standard rooms. i peaked in the rooms that have sliding doors and they seemed nicer. the standard rooms need new carpets and bedding. our room had stains on the carpet. the bathrooms were decent with one small sink with of course a toilet and normal size tub/shower. The decor also needs to be updated, but again this is a decent place if you just need a place to crash on a budget. They didn't seem to have enough outlets, no clock, enough lighting, cable, and to lock the door you have a key. There are two levels to the motel on either side of the parking lot and the office is in the front. the parking lot could actually get quite full if everyone is in so then its hard to menuver with the parking lot being on a slanted ground. great views of the Boldt castle across the water. The pool is decent that is 4 feet with an all around deck and lounge chairs. i didn't get to experience this as it was a little colder weather. there is also a dock for people who may have boats and can pull right up to the motel. I have to say one other thing that may ruin some peoples decision to stay, but this is hit or miss. We know for a fact that my boyfriends watch was stolen. We had locked our door every time we left the room and there was a small window in time that it would have been taken. its very difficult to speculate and say who stole the watch, but we could only guess as it was the only time we allowed our room to be cleaned. We had checked everywhere and everything, talked with the office but of course nothing could be done. This was back in July, still hasn't turned up and no call, but the office manager was nice in taking our information. kinda wish that could've done a little something extra (not sure what). unsure if we would stay here again. i had noticed better motels/hotels, hopefully on a better budget to stay elsewhere.
