The same procedure for one of my cats went from about $150 to over $350 dollars. Any business that no longer accepts credit cards without passing on their user fees must post there policies. Decent vet care. Nice staff. Terrible management and business practices. This place also takes discount vouchers from a local cat group. I am very concerned that this worthwhile group will be exploited by this place. If you decide to bring your pet here ask for a detailed coat breakdown before hand.

We've had pets for about 27…read moreyears now, and started using Good Shepherd soon after they opened a couple of years ago, just around the corner from us in Jenks, for our dog Molly. They became our favorite vet, hands down. Dr. Murray is kind, compassionate, thorough, knowledgeable, and so very friendly. Molly had an ear infection that just evaded diagnosis. Dr. Murray suggested that we send a sample to an outside lab. While that cost a little bit, it resulted in a specific diagnosis and treatment plan that kicked the infection immediately thereafter. More recently, Molly developed a bladder issue which we tried to treat for several months without success. Dr. Murray never pushed us to do anything, but was reasonable and explanatory all the way. She had a growth in her bladder which was not shrinking despite a few different treatment approaches, and at over 13 years old, we weren't going to subject her to surgery. When the very sad day came to evaluate end of life, Dr. Murray was out, and Dr. Webb guided us through the process - again with absolutely no pressure either direction. It's impossible to imagine anyone being more compassionate or understanding at such a difficult time. We don't have enough good things to say about her, as well as their vet tech (also Molly) that day. My wife and I still miss our little pup Molly (me especially). After it was over, Good Shepherd sent the nicest sympathy card signed by all their staff, along with two little sheets of paper with our Molly's front paw prints on them. What a beautiful thing to do. This review would not be complete without mention of the financial side. Veterinary medicine these days is not cheap! But Good Shepherd was very reasonable at all times. The cost of any extra check and the external labs was always made known to us beforehand. And Dr. Murray even called around to find the lowest cost option for a couple of medications! I believe their charges were more reasonable than any vet we've used before them. I notice their office has 5.0 stars on Google, for 33 ratings. There's a reason for that! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Dr. Carly is very experienced and probably old enough to remember when social media didn't matter. He personally explained to me what was going on with our dog, the medications needed, not once but twice when I took her back in on the next day. He even has a cold laser therapy that he used to reduce the inflamation on our dog. Seemed like a smaller place that provided excellent personal service to me, rather than one of these big places where you hardly ever see that same person twice. At Hunters Glen it's always going to be Dr. Carly every time.

Holistic care is very important to me, Dr. Patton listened to all my concerns and was receptive and understanding of my requests. And she was phenomenal with my little guy, Dexter. She discovered that he needed a dental procedure so after his blood work came back good, we got him scheduled for a dental cleaning with Dr. Huckabay. I was pleased that I'd get to experience the top two vets on my list! Dexter is barely 5lbs (he's also my whole heart), so any type of procedure is enough to send me into a full panic. Every single one of the team members at Advanced Care Veterinary Hospital were not only patient with me and my over-the-top behavior, but they were also very kind and understanding. They allowed me to wait in a room during the procedure and even brought him to me so I could hold him during his recovery. Dr. Huckabay and her vet assistant, Abbi were both extremely detailed in their explanation of what Dex needed and what they did during the procedure. Abbi was empathetic, answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns post-surgery. And every single person at the front desk area that day were phenomenal. I feel that the service we received proves that Advanced Care is practicing at the highest standard in the field and truly offer expert specialty vet care services. i accompanied momma to the veterinary today for the shot appointment of a dog currently in our…read morecare, and though not especially partial to any veterinarian office, i'm grateful for 4 features of the specific location. firstly, the lot features a little bit of grass on its westside, by which pet owners could wait while a pet does the do, then find the trash bin out back to throw away a defecation bag, if planning allows. also, inside the office is a spacious waiting area, in which a sectional enclosure, currently with a few very adorable, potentially adoptable, young cats on display. further, in addition to friendly service from the workers on duty, the professionalism of operations has credence from the office wall of records, visible to any pet owning client with the ability of sight, and available to anyone caring enough to inquire politely. and lastly from a reporting perspective, the workers each conveyed a friendly demeanor, with one evidentiary indication being 2 distinct workers carrying a trashcan to me for throwing away waste i'd grabbed from outside the building. additionally, from a hood reporter perspective, i wrapped the dog in her blanket in route to the veterinary when i'd noticed her getting the shakies, since i've experienced that the process of a shot is less traumatic if the recipient has a higher body temperature. and finally, live from new york, nah i'm playing, finally i'll add that, despite vaguely hearing a conversation moms had with the front desk attendant about waiting for another shot her records suggest she might need, while i'm very much amateur in terms of knowledge about which shots which pets need when, i'd like to think such a review about general and specific considerations in bringing the dog in our care to a vaccination appointment at the vet will assist someone else even less familiar with the process than me. actually, as a addendum, i'd heard the parv word in that conversation between mom and the front desk attendant, and knowing that has to do with rabies prevention, i'll commit to keeping our dog out from areas under the house and sheds that potential rabies carriers, such as rats, rabbits, and squirrels, occasionally nest.

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Miller have always taken the time to fully explain the issues and provide options. At the end of the day we, as furbaby parents, need to know the positives and negatives of whatever decision we make in our pet's health and that is exactly what we've experienced. The staff is super attentive and always willing to help. It speaks volumes when one walks away feeling as though someone else cares for your furbaby like they were their own.
