The doctors at Riverbrook have been amazing treating our pack. After our experience at the first vet we chose in Tulsa we waited to have one our German Shepherds spayed. It went flawlessly. We also have as German shepherd who had a melanoma in one eye and developed glaucoma. We had to have her eyes removed. They have been nothing but patient and kind to her. What a relief to find a qualified and friendly group of veterinarians when the field is becoming more and more a corporate environment. read more

They want $68 for a no-show. My MDs don't even charge that much. Their intake form is outdated, with repetitive fields for information that you already gave on the form. The form is not online, as is any professional medical office, so u have to fill it out when ur there. If they disagree with you..they simply refuse service to you. Look somewhere else..there are many options in the brookside area. read more

They seem to be rather pricey, but they've taken good care of our dog. We adopted a dog rescued from a puppy mill. His teeth were all rotten because the breeder just mixed the water with the food. The dogs got the hydration, but had no water to rinse their teeth. Riverbrook doctors had to remove all but 3. Baxter had other health issues and the doctors gave him thorough exams. They took extra care because they knew he'd been in a puppy mill. He had a chronic ear infection that took a long time to clear up. They brought an abused an neglected dog back to health. read more

Highly recommend this vet. They are always able to get my dog seen in a timely matter. My dog was attacked this morning and they were able to get me in within 30 minutes of it happening. All of the staff is friendly and understanding and the vet is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am so thankful to have a veterinary office like this so close to me. read more

I have been a customer of Riverbrook for 13 years and have never had an issue until now. The office manager, Vashni, is rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, condescending, and hateful. On multiple occasions, she has rolled her eyes at me and acted like every question I asked was stupid. I've also witnessed her treat other customers in the same way. Not only is she hateful to customers, but also to animals as well. I was very unhappy with her treatment of my dog the last time I dropped him off with her. She wasn't nice or friendly towards him, and she acted like he was a nuisance. I truly believe that my relationship with Riverbrook would still be intact if it hadn't been for Vashni's involvement. It breaks my heart that this establishment lets an employee destroy long standing relationships. While I no longer have a relationship with Riverbrook, I think that this is important information for potential customers to be aware of. If you're looking for veterinary care for your pet, I would recommend going elsewhere. read more

Went in to have my dog's bloodwork done because we were suspicious that he had diabetes. Got a call about a week later saying that there was no diabetes, but the lab had to retest something and so we needed to bring our dog in again to give another sample and that they were also suspicious of high blood pressure. We brought our dog in a second time to give more blood and paid the additional money for the blood pressure test. We had not heard anything for almost a week and a half and called to see if we could check up on the progress of the testing. When we called the receptionist said they did not have any record of my dog getting results back and we would have to bring him in again to give more blood to redo the test. (Which as any dog parent knows, this is incredibly stressful on my dog and my other dog that gets left at home. Also, having to take another lunch off from work to bring our dog in a third time when this is something that is easily done in one visit from other offices was quite frustrating) I called the vet and asked for a refund for the test and would be taking our dog elsewhere for the testing. They reimbursed me and were very apologetic, but when I asked if this would be a reimbursement for both the blood work and the blood pressure, the veterinarian said she had given us the results for the blood pressure test that day, which was not true. We did not see a veterinarian the day we brought our dog back in, only a vet tech who took the needed samples and charged us for the tests. They told us they would reach out about the results. I appreciate the no hassle reimbursement, but I did not appreciate the lack of organization this office demonstrated. There should have been better record of what had been sent to the lab and what should have been returned as well a better record of what information had been communicated with the client. read more

When I get into mischief like eating things I shouldn't, they are there to rub my belly and give me the right medicine. Recently, I got scratched by something and it got infected. My mom called and I was able to get in that afternoon! The staff at the front desk was kind and patient with me when I didn't want them to know my weight at first. I was then taken to the exam room where the nurse fed me delicious treats while asking my mom questions. When the vet came in, she didn't rush through examining me or run any unnecessary tests that would have hiked up my bill. I was a little nervous about finding my puppy a vet in Tulsa, but Yelp reviews made me totally at ease with trying out Riverbrook! My dog only needed a new prescription for his heartworm preventative, and they were able to get me in fairly quickly. The girls at the front desk were so sweet to him, even when he tried to start a fight with the kitties that roamed in the waiting room. They played with him the entire time we waited! Both the tech and the vet were sweet to both of us and answered all of my questions. The medications were a little pricier than they would have been from something like 1-800-PetMeds, so I will probably be ordering from there next time. But I'm definitely glad to have the staff at Riverbrook available in case he ever needs vet care! I'm relatively new to Tulsa and as with many reliable things to look for in a new residence such as eye doctor, dentist, hair stylist and more importantly veterinarian and groomer for my fur babies. I have had cats and dogs for about 25 years. I had seen three Vets in the Tulsa area that were well over priced and or were preying on emotions, depending on the situation. I am happy to say I have found a great Vet that I would recommend! I first met them under unfortunate circumstances when it came time to put my 15 year old pug down, not the best way to meet but it was comforting and handled the way I hoped it to be since it felt like I was putting my child down. They gave me all the time I needed. Then a month later I brought on a ARF rescue that I adopted in Fiona's memory and they are very though in their exams...thankfully everything checked out good! read more

seriously a wonderful place. We took our first pup in and he was in critical condition, he passed away there and the staff was so caring, especially considering we were a first time visitor there. They sent us home with his paw print and that was just a touch of how great they were. They have a wonderful staff and were so wonderful with us, so when we decided we were going to get another dog, we took her there for her initial health exam. Yet again we were met with kindness and a great staff everyone played with our dog and loved on her, even got on the floor to play! Hello! My name is victoria and I'm going to tell you a little story. My fiancé and I adopted an 8 week old australian shepherd. Her name is Scout. We brought her to Riverbrook to get her second set of booster shots. Right when we walked in the employees here oohed and awed over scout. They were so sweet to her. Hugging her, petting her, teaching her tricks. Scout loved them! We did too. It was love at first visit. During her exam/shots, the vet and tech gave her cheese and petted her, made her feel so comfortable that she didnt Even realize she was getting a shot! About a week later I noticed that scout was peeing a lot, well not peeing but trying to. The next day she peed blood. I was frantic! Riverbrook was closed for the evening so we brought scout to a vet at 51st and Yale. I was appalled at how they treated scout. It was nothing like riverbrook. 5 minutes after being there they put a muzzle on her! I couldn't believe it! No sweet talk, no treats, they were just grabbing her face, pinning her down, honestly I would've tried to bite them too. They told us there was nothing they could do for her. They said it was probably just an inflamed vagina from trying to pee too hard. So they gave us some anti-inflammatories and sent us on our way. Scout was still not peeing right. So the next day I called riverbrook. I told them about scouts symptoms and they asked me to bring her in the next morning. As soon as we got there, once again, they all immediately loved on her. I felt so relived I wanted to hug them myself! They asked to keep scout for a few hours to run some tests. I felt more than comfortable leaving her in the loving care of riverbrook. They sent off her urine to find that she did in fact have a bad UTI. They gave us antibiotics and the reassurance that she will be back to healthy so soon! I will recommend riverbrook to anyone an everyone I can. Not only do they take exceptional care of the pets, but they do the same for the parents. They are the most patient and loving staff I have ever come across. They love our baby and they put us parents at ease. I will never take scout anywhere else! These people are the best!!
