Yeah they won't let me come in for a in person interview about my taxes even though there's lots of ways we can interview safely. When I told them I work for Lyft the price went up from $80-$300 no explanation just saying that it would be more difficult to do my taxes. Uncaring but not very helpful just care about how much they make especially David Weintraub. Would not recommend getting your taxes done here. When I sent in my information they didn't even look at my information until I told them about working at Lyft even though he had the information for Lyft I've sent him I'm guessing he didn't even look at my information just trying to get done quickly. read more

Not only is he very knowledgeable in the tax world, but he knows how to explain things in a normal, easy-to-understand way. He is very thorough and looks under every rock. I have little experience dealing with a CPA, and a complicated business situation. Basically I do a mix of self-employed freelance and some part time employment. I'm also treasurer for an LLC with 6 members that needed a filing. This place was recommended to me by another freelance person. Elan took care of me. I can't compare this place with the performance of many others, but I can say that it gave me confidence that my taxes are filed correctly. They were friendly and accommodating. Because they handled my personal taxes and the LLC too, they mentioned their rate was better than others would ask. My previous CPA,Chris, worked here and my experience with him was excellent. He was able to deal with my complicated taxes, business and personal. My hard drive crashed this year and I lost some files, including my tax returns from last year. I requested a copy of my records and Michael McLaughlin emailed stating the cost would be $50 to send even as a PDF...this was not the case in previous years. I tried getting Michael on the phone or to return my call, but was unsuccessful. I explained the situation in email of my hard drive and asked for a waiver of the fee, yet he still has not response to my request. The receptionist was very helpful and tried to get Michael to speak with me on the phone, but after a few attempts she said she had to transfer me to his VM. read more

Hello, I was referred to Pat Mc Laughlin by my accountant when I got audited by the IRS. Pat is a former employee of the IRS, and an Enrolled Agent. The IRS Auditor was really nasty, and it was so uncomfortable dealing with him that I hired Pat to represent me at the audit. This saved me a mountain of stress, and I am sure that she did a better job for me than I could do myself. I am so relieved that I chose Pat! That was 14 years ago, and Pat has been preparing my taxes every year since. I have not been audited since Pat has been doing my taxes which is greatly appreciated. My returns have involved having a small business and a salary job, buying and selling real estate, buying and selling cars for my business, and dealing with income as a result of a short sale. I then stalked Elan on Facebook and sent him a message. He got back to me and we set an appmt to talk after the busy tax season. We have now been working together for the past 6 months, organizing my back taxes owed. Elan has been a trusted advisor throughout the whole process. He's funny, kind and courteous.
