If your book is not included in your tuition, you can forget about finding the book you need. They do not order enough for all students enrolled in the course and if you order the book from the bookstore it will be 2 weeks. My recommendation is get your book info as soon as the professor releases that info and buy on Amazon. Hopefully you'll get it be for the class starts. read more

Hi my name is Gena colley at the time I attended this college I was Gena Kathleen Jones was 20 with a small infant baby boy in 1990 through like 1993 I studied law and a various of classes I made an A+ in business law I took phycology here but I didn't make a good grade on my phycology class because I didn't see their theories as relevant to my thoughts and mindful ways of view of humanity so I didn't get the answers correctly as they saw it because what I knew as mindful theories didn't agree with them then and even now I struggle to get the views and challenges of diagnosis to listen to me or see things from my so called backwards way of views of humanity and what is so called normal reaction or studies.....but this community college I am greatful for this classes here were all enjoyable and I learned a lot from MCC in Jesus Christ name may all education be preserved and made available for all who seek to be educated with greatest knowledge available to them read more

FYI, the college just settled a lawsuit a week before it went to a federal trial because of malicious actions by the president against a professor. They agreed to pay him a rather substantial sum. They cannot speak about it but I can. She is still there and he isn't. Support staff were terrible too. Thought you should know that's where part of your tuition is going so it's up to you to decide. I've not attended this College but am a retired tenured instructor from another institution so I cannot judge the educational or other qualities of this particular college but am quite disgusted by the actions of its support staff and management. read more

I was trying to go back to college after 24 years after I quit MCC for personal reasons. Everything was going well until I was talking to them about signing up for online classes (I can't drive because of health issues since my youth). The person I talked to was very rude and disrespectful towards me. Because of a new Texas law that was passed just last year, she told me that I have to take another test to see if I have to take a remedial course again because 24 years old I have to stop all my classes and leave school because my mother was slowly dying because of kidney failer, my baby sister at the time was 10, and my stepdad was working two to three jobs just to make ends me and he was a war vet. I told the woman I couldn't do that because taking it online was too much money, and if I did take it there were no guarantees that there would be an online course for the remedial course. After getting this news I cried, as a 44-year-old woman with learning problems who wants an education can't get it because of these people and the new Texas law of a test called the TSI test. I'm trying to see if I can find an online college that will take me but it looks like one out of state. read more

I don't typically write reviews, but I've just had an overall terrible experience with this college. The staff gives bad information, the bookstore can't keep up with what they have in stock or what's been pulled (like eTexts), and the way this college requires approval for EVERYTHING is insane, like I can't even breathe without first requesting approval for it and then waiting on Zoom for 40 minutes and getting passed back and forth between people. I've attended two previous community colleges prior to this one, and neither of them have acted so ridiculous. read more

MCC is a great college, but being an online student, all went south when they decided to move from Blackboard, which me and several students were adapt to, to begin using Bright space. Bright space was extemely hard to navigate through and most of us were unable to find the course material and assignments. Therefore, because of that i left MCC to attend a University that uses Blackboard. I would not consider being an online student at MCC unless they go back to Blackboard as their online foundation. Their decision to change platforms caused me to drop all my courses for that semester. read more

I like MCC because it's closeby from most areas of Waco, it's inexpensive, and they have a lot to choose from. Most of the professors are likeable, and the school is pretty good. They have friendly people working in the financial aid department and admissions and business office. read more
