I had a scheduled appoint time of 3pm but got there early I signed in and received my ticket with a time stamp of 2:39pm. I was called to my window before 3pm where we met Lindsay. She was truly kind, pleasant, patient, funny, and very helpful. She walked me through the process that is Medicare and SS benefits without issue. I was able to complete my business and off to a late lunch/early dinner by 3:15. I can't say enough nice things about this experience and the employees (Officer Castillo and Lindsay) I encountered during this visit. This is not like any other government agency I've had to deal with prior to moving to Texas. Thank you Waco Texas Social Security Office

The bridge spans 475-feet, and at one point, was considered the longest single-span suspension bridge west of the Mississippi. The Waco Suspension Bridge is majestic, yet aesthetically pleasing. It now serves as a pedestrian crossing. When you walk out on the bridge, it is peaceful, quiet and serene. Listening to the water meander under the bridge almost puts you in a trance. In addition to the bridge, the steers in the front of the bridge are being renovating...painted and sealed with hot wax.

I've reviewed a dozen or so county courthouses in Texas (Johnson/Cleburne, Ellis/Waxahachie,…read moreWise/Decatur, Potter/Amarillo, Wheeler, Liberty, McCulloch/Brady, Sterling, Gaines/Seminole and Navarro/Corsicana) so I only have 240 or so to go. Texans definitely know how to make magnificent courthouses and this is one of them. According to the marker, this is the county's fourth courthouse and was built during the peak of Central Texas cotton wealth. Named for Neil McLennan who was an early settler, the county's seat is Waco. The courthouse was completed in 1902 and is in the Beaux Arts Style by architect James Riely Gordon who designed 13 other Texas courthouses (including Ellis, which I've seen). Themis, the Greek goddess of divine order stands atop the dome, holding a double-edged sword that represents the law. Her left hand holds the usual scales to symbolize the weighing of facts by the courts. I was here on Sunday so I did not have the opportunity to tour the interior which is apparently quite ornate. Interesting fact: Clyde Barrow, of Bonnie and Clyde fame, stood trial here and was convicted. He managed to break out of the jail later. [Review 817 of 2024 - 572 in Texas - 21848 overall]

They accepted a package from Amazon to be delivered to us a week ago and the only note in tracking was that it wouldn't fit in the box. Nothing else. Typically everywhere else they then place it at your door. This dept. will not. They left no note, and no other comments. Today we received a note in tracking that they attempted to deliver at 3:45 AM and now we would have to come pick it up ourselves. This box of dog food has been on auto order for two years and only the two times it was sent through USPS did we have difficulties. If we wanted to come pick it up, it never would have been ordered through mail. We recently lived in a very large city where USPS had a horrible reputation and you would expect to be cursed at if looking for a package. I never thought this towns would equal that. Very sad.

A lot higher risks, but that is my specialty, so you know I go at it there too! watched Gilliland rise as a new judge during my initial case in this courthouse. Have experience with all three judges now. Texas should be proud. Was a very fun and fair experience. Maybe I will be back one day. Time will tell. Thank you again Waco Division.
