The last time I went the postal guy was very nice and explained that he just put out the packages and gave me a general idea of when to arrive for them. He was very kind and even went and got them instead of sending me there. Very good employees at this one. Some post offices are so-so but I really enjoy coming to this location My first time talking to the employee in this post office. I was mailing a if it fits it ships package. First they did answer the phone. I went very early and was there about 10 minutes before opening but had to stay in the car instead of standing in the lobby since I can't stand a real long time yet. She answered the phone when I enquired about the operating hours. They opened promptly at 7:30. I don't usually ship these type packages. She was very helpful. I was grateful and thankful for her advice. Sometimes I think that the post office gets judged a bit harshly. In my experience some don't want to be helpful and others really do care about you. I would give five stars but I only have had a one time experience w an employee from here. The positive experience Does influence my desire to return though. Update: Had to mail a letter in a hurry and got some cheap envelopes but they had a hard time sealing closed. When I bought a stamp at the post office kudos for the lady saying yes to putting some tape on the envelope for me.

Some packages have not been delivered at all (lost?). We have spoken with current Moody Postmaster Melissa McCranie- we have tried to be polite and patient, but all we get from her is words, not results. I have lost confidence in the ability of McCranie to oversee the Moody Post Office, and I have lost confidence in the ability of the carriers to deliver the correct mail to the correct mailbox...and then close it. If there was any accountability, someone would have been fired by now.

Typically everywhere else they then place it at your door. This dept. will not. They left no note, and no other comments. Today we received a note in tracking that they attempted to deliver at 3:45 AM and now we would have to come pick it up ourselves. This box of dog food has been on auto order for two years and only the two times it was sent through USPS did we have difficulties. If we wanted to come pick it up, it never would have been ordered through mail. We recently lived in a very large city where USPS had a horrible reputation and you would expect to be cursed at if looking for a package. I never thought this towns would equal that. Very sad.

The store is designed to make it easy to see where to line up; however, the way it ropes off, it blocks customers from the copiers. That doesn't make sense. Hopefully this is fixed soon. I always use this location with no issues, but today was different. The attendant helping me out wanted to weigh the bigger envelope without all the contents that would be inside of it, to which I told her if it's a weighted item, everything that's going inside the larger envelope should be weighed. After going back and forth for much longer than needed to about what should be done, she decides to do as I was asking (despite her attitude written all over her face). She mentioned it would be a bigger charge and to which I am fine with because on the way to the original destination, everything should be weighed for accuracy, but the smaller envelope should be weighed separately with the contents that will be returning to me. As I was leaving the store, before I could even step outside the building, I heard the other staff (Brooke) say, "you were right." With other customers still in line, we're is the decorum? Anyway, this staff needs to be trained to not talk about customers in front of current customers.
