I just tried to hire Mr Craig to represent my son for a case and because of his status and things…read morethat happened to him without any type of setting down and talking to himself an explanation so he would understand the situation he declined to represent my son just because he was not the upstanding person that he thought he should be without even meeting him without talking to him without further talking to me and my mother or anyone else he bluntly just declined to represent that he didn't think he wanted to represent him don't even know him nothing I mean I just think that's pretty wrong but you know that is my opinion so I don't understand when you don't know someone or you haven't even sat down and talked to them but I'm sorry I'm just lost in this one

Rude, unreliable unprofessional. We hired him for a child custody case that we were going into 2019…read moreto 2020. We gave him $3000 retainer. In North Carolina you have to go to mediation first which is what our daughter did. My daughters a very quiet polite person. Mr. Craig was quite informed that we did not expect the defendant to go along with anything and mediation. At the end of the mediation he decided that he was not a good match for our daughter. There was no reasonable explanation for this. Just left us in a position of scrambling to find a new lawyer. Doing mini consultations cost us much more money. I defended him or your dad so we felt like Mr. Craig to kick the yellow jackets nest and then ran. This put us in a lot of emotional stress not to mention that he would not return anything but half of the money. He filed the case but that should not cost $1500. We made a hasty decision because we had to. And we did not win our case. I have no words to explain the emotional stress that this put my daughter under in our family.Which is much more important than the money. But the least Mr. Craig could've done was give her/ our money back. He insisted that our daughter had to send a request for the money back . then replied that he should not have given us any money at all . I'm not in the habit of leaving reviews but we felt compelled to warn other people to read about his reputation on Google. And also consider our experience. We would never want anyone else to go through what we did. We thought we were in good hands and we would be represented but it was quite the opposite in our opinion.
