Made my first and second trip to Harvey's while in Georgia. This is not the typical "superstore"…read morethat I am used to in Long Island but it definitely serves it customer's well. While it is a smaller market it has plenty of choices and uses all available space to put out seasonal and special items. The store is bright and clean and while they are not super sized isles they surely allow enough isle space for multiple carts to move through. The staff here is very friendly and helped me find a few items that I did not see. Again, this shop is not that big and therefore cannot have the stock of a "superstore." I like their mini carts and thought that this might be a nice idea by us if you're just going in the store for a few items. Unfortunately in NY, if the store is not HUGE people will opt out. We must continue to support our smaller, locally owned shops as they always remain the fabric of our communities, no matter where they are.

Always being located on a corner spot, they are an easy in and out off the main road. The handicap parking is also very centrally located close to the doors which is not always the case. I am always pleased when I am properly greeted when I walk through the door. I am especially happy when a clerk or cashier look up from what they are doing to acknowledge a customer walking through the door. This store, like other Walgreens is big and bright with clean isles to navigate through. I needed a few items ranging from pharmaceutical to paper goods. They had plenty of items to choose from and I pleased that their house brand is a substantially reduced price and the same item. Check out went very quickly and I received the same cordial greeting as I left as when I came in. Kudos to a nice team here at Walgreens.

The pharmacist at this location has a very nasty attitude...I came into this pharmacy and politely…read moreexplained to the tech that while they were temporarily closed last month, I had a script filled at the Walgreens in Alma, which is about 30 miles away. However, they only had half the script at the time and I wanted to know if they could please transfer it here so I wouldn't have to drive all the way to the other town. Now because I saw a Telemed doctor who IS in GA, the script shows up with the app's location, which is California. Unfortunately, a lot of small town pharmacies do not understand this part of technology and assume the doctor himself is in California. I was politely explaining this to the tech when the pharmacist barged over and began talking loudly with an attitude, telling me in a condescending tone, "This script came from California and I'm NOT filling it!" I am a very respectful person but I will not tolerate anyone speaking to me in that fashion. Knowing the law and technology very well, I would never ask a pharmacy to fill a script that is not within the law. I also know that it is at their discretion. But what I don't have to accept is someone talking down to me because they are ignorant of how technology works and speaking to me like I'm an uneducated scammer off the streets. I did let her know that she will not address me that way and that her attitude is very nasty. I then respectfully thanked the tech and walked out the store. Had she just listened for a moment, I had the doctor's phone number and GA license number with me to show her, as I'm used to this problem. Pharmacies also have a way to verify the doctor's state of licensure, but given her combative, loud and immediate nasty attitude it was not worth my time. I will just drive the 30 miles. At least at the Alma pharmacy, the pharmacist and his staff are polite and know how telemed apps work. I do NOT recommend this pharmacy.
