While Durkie Heating and Cooling was $295 higher, the unit was a top of the line Rheem and with our past experience with Rheem, not only the system we were replacing, but previous homes we owned had Rheem, and Durkies availability to get it installed sooner than the other firm, we hired Durkie. They were extremely friendly, professional and courteous, answering all our questions and addressing any concerns. The installation was excellent. Neat, clean, left no messes, and any follow-up questions we had were answered within a couple of hours. While Durkie may be a small firm, they are one of the best, and we dare to say the best, we have experienced in our 35+ years owning homes. We would not consider anyone else in the future. Paul put in a furnace in our building 3 years ago. Last winter, it would just turn itself off. He…read morecame out April /May and thought it was mother board and would order new one. We called him repeatedly over the next 5 mons and he NEVER returned our calls. He also has the warranty papers/info that I guess we'll never see. Walters&Hemming came out same day and found it was a drainage problem that caused pressure sensor to shut down. Oh, in the process of originally installing the furnace 3 years ago, Paul began the process, then didn't return for months to complete the installation. I will never hire this man again. Good luck.
