I rarely leave bad reviews but this is merited. The lady in the front was very nice, but I can't say the same for the doctor. I came here for medical care and when I asked a question he said "let's use common sense" which was a little unnecessary but we continued. Once I was back in my room I asked the nurse if I was good to go, she asked "Dr. Eugene" if I was done he responded verbatim: "I'm printing her paper work, this isn't McDonald's." When I asked about a separate symptom I was having, the nurse advised that it wasn't covered with this visit and I would need to re-register. Which I was fine with until I overheard that response from the doctor. Not much bedside manner in this location, would recommend going elsewhere if you can. read more

If you need anything for school, physical form or vaccines, this is the place to go! I did a physical here about 4-5 months ago and I lost the form, but they had a copy of it! It's honestly ridiculous how rushed everything felt during the visit. My friend clearly told them her symptoms, especially the back pain which was her main concern, but instead of actually addressing it, they just did a urine test and ran a flu and COVID test. The doctor completely brushed off the back pain and blamed everything on COVID without really looking into it. What makes me even more upset is that he never told her she had stage 2 hypertension blood pressure. She only found out after we left when she was going over the discharge papers at home. That's something you do not ignore as a medical professional. I've been here twice. The service wasn't terrible, it wasn't amazing either but they did what I asked which is all that I care about, even if they took a little longer than they should've for an empty clinic. What really bothers me is that both times that I've been here, I've received a letter in the mail a week later saying that I owe money. Which then leads to me having to come in and ask them what that's about. The first time they said it was a mistake. Now we'll see what they say the second time as I head over there. Is it a cash grab? Who knows. The only thing I know is that it upsets me so much that I really had to download Yelp just to warn people who come here. I came into MD Now since my employer has a reduced contracted rate with them. My primary care physician didn't have a same day appointment available and I wanted to get seen in person by a physician. When I went to pay my copay, I was told that they were no longer honoring that rate since they had just been purchased by HCA (that was a lie because when you google it, the purchase was completed Jan 2022). I informed them that my insurance app still showed the contracted rate and I had not received any information regarding the change. I went ahead and payed the rate, but decided to call my insurance to verify. My insurance informed me the rate had not changed and that they would call the location to speak to a representative. The representative insisted they were no longer honoring the rate and the change began in October. I decided to ask for a refund and opt for a virtual visit with my insurance. Once I left, I received a call from MD Now that they made a mistake and were indeed honoring the reduced rate and to return to get seen. I returned ONLY because I really wanted to be seen by a doctor. Once I was finally seen, the PA appeared bothered that I even went in and insisted that I continue to do nothing and "wait and see" to get better. I insisted that I had been waiting for two weeks to feel better and continued to cough productivity, feel fatigue, and was not feeling well. Only then did he say that he would prescribe medication, but if I wanted any imaging that I would need to go to another location to do so. I know they do in fact have X-ray capabilities at that location since I've had family get an X-ray a few months prior. The whole experience was terrible and to think I was about to be charged almost three times what my contracted copay was, makes me even more upset. read more

I went for a covid test in February, they told me that my insurance will cover for it. Surprisingly in December I received a bill for $75.00 for their service. My insurance paid them $90.00 and it was not enough. When I called to speak with the billing department a very nasty lady could not tell me why it took so long to bill me for a COVID test when my insurance paid them immediately. I do not recommend this place for any services at all, they just want to take your money and surprise you with unknown charges their billing department customer service is horrible. read more

Before heading to this Urgent Care I called the Baptist urgent care center down the street and was told there was an hour wait, while this place had a 5 minute wait. My husband was seen within 10 minutes of arriving. The nurse and doctor were great and we were out within 45 minutes. It's great to have a place like this close to home. Perfect for weekend or post-office hours doctors visits. They are located right next to the Stride Rite and there's plenty of parking in the lot. read more

I went to this place with a serious allergic reaction to lamotrigine, a reaction that could have cost me my life and 2 inexperienced boys told me we don't know the cause so we can't indicated any medication and they send me to home .... If they don't have the experience or knowledge to deal with a case, they should send people to the hospital .... I made an online appointment for a test to hopefully cut down my wait time. When I arrived the receptionist abruptly told me the online appointments are not honored and the wait time is well over an over. She blamed corporate for not updating their website. The receptionist was holding onto to everyone's driver license and insurance card until they were seen. They were visible to all of the office for potential identity theft. I came here a few weeks ago, I had to take a test and was unable to come the day my results were done. No problem I was assured to return within a weeks time to retake the test by the front desk, before leaving. I returned a week later as told and waited an hour, and paid over a hundred dollars for the test. I was then told after an hour of waiting that the doctor "refused" to see me because I had to wait a longer amount of time or my test result would come out as positive. That's fine, but why was I told beforehand to come in a week later if that wasn't long enough? I was then refunded the money. Not only was the doctor unable to write a brief note explaining as to why I couldn't be seen, because I "hadn't actually seen the doctor" I then wasted an hour of my time at the clinic, on top of the week I spent waiting. A week later I also received an itemized bill for the visit I didn't even attend, but was told that it would be disputed on the billing's end. I went somewhere else and was able to retake the test with no issue, without having to wait a week. read more

Wow... worst treatment I have ever received in my entire life. Working in the medical field also, I am having a hard time understanding how this practice is still running. It took two hours for the doctor to see me. When he came in he said "do you have a fever?" I said no. He said ok then you don't have the flu or coronavirus so you just have a cold that's it. (I never mentioned I thought I had coronavirus...) then he walked out and said "ok back to real work" .... then 3 minutes later he came back in and said oh wait your pressure is really high. Then the MA came in telling me "you're good" and I told her I was worried because of what the doctor said and she said "he's crazy, he says that to every patient". Dr. Torres is a moron. I have been sick for over a week with upper respiratory infection. She would not prescribe anything. I told her OTC meds were not helping & that i was feeling worse. Because I didn't test positive for the flu or covid, she disregarded me. My snot is bright green & i am coughing up chunks. If you value life, go somewhere else. She was arrogant and combative. Horrible experience, told the doctor I was felling heart pressure but also sore throat and had fever for the past couple of days, she just focus on the heart pressure (which could have being a sign of a viral infection not necessarily a heart attack) did a ECG wich came out based on what she said with a blockage, without auscultating my lungs or looking into my ears, to confirm about my other symptoms, just looked at my throat 2 seconds to tell me it was nothing, continue to take Tylenol. Give me a referral to an emergency room because based on what she saw it was urgent. I'm a nurse which I didn't mention while there just to see what else she would have missed from my assessment... anyways I took my referral and left. Waisted my whole hour and a half on the waiting room just for her to tell me it was nothing. Don't go to that place unless you wanna waist you money and your time. read more

I'm not understanding the gist of so many positive reviews. My experience at this facility was deplorable. The receptionist was kind, but I didn't understand the need for the hour wait when there were only a total of four people in the waiting area (including my son and I). When we were finally called, Dr. Fernandez spent all of two minutes with my child. He was in and out so quickly, I literally had to ask the medical assistant to call the doctor back in so he could spend the time with us that we deserved. Even though my son had spent the entire night coughing, the only thing the doctor proclaimed was, "your son doesn't look sick." Mind you, I had been up all night with this boy. Why the heck would I schlep him to urgent care for nothing? The doctor never bothered to listen to my child's lungs, check his ears, throat, etc. He only asked my son to cough. That was the method used to diagnose the severity of my son's cold. I then asked the doctor if he could prescribe antibiotics, but he refused, claiming my son only had a virus. I asked Dr. Fernandez how he knew for sure, seeming as though he never assessed any of my child's vitals, and of course, the doctor threw in his 38-years of experience. As if that alone, makes one Yoda. I wonder, however, if this includes 38 years of correctly diagnosing others, or 38 years of simply putting on scrubs? All in all, I ended up taking my son to another urgent care, where they diagnosed him with a chest infection. He was given antibiotics and started improving the next day. The staff available on Saturday evening June 22,2019 was very rude, violating HIPPA compliance by talking out loud patient confidentiality issues in front of other patients AND GOSSIPING!!! 3. When I decided to step outside and ask if they had forgotten about me, and the physician replied 'No we have not, we're just very busy'..... HOW? With 2 other Patients ahead of me? Really ? 4. Lack of knowledge .... the staff did not provide me with sufficient details required in order to make a proper and just assessment on what options to take. 5. Doctors and office staff don't communicate with one another: The doctor was supposed to administer a medication, but since it wasn't available in house I had to leave at 7:30 pm to the local pharmacy. Guess what? This location of MD NOW, closes at 8PM. ... the doctor tells me "that's fine, come in tomorrow and someone will administer the antibiotic" I asked the doctor "Do I have to pay all over again?" Which the doctor replies "No, not at all. They can pull up your records, you should be fine, I'll leave note." I walk in the next day for them to follow up... GUESS WHAT?? THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME ALL OVER AGAIN BECAUSE ITS A "NEW DAY" AND ITS A NEW DOCTOR and my previous Dr. didn't leave any notes or specifications ..... the office staff tells me that the doctor last night shouldn't have told me that 'BECAUSE HE'S NOT THE OWNER OF THAT FACILITY and that if I want someone to administer the medication I would have to pay another new co-pay. They prolonged me as much as possible in order for me to get frustrated AND PAY/LEAVE... EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE!!! I mean, they didn't even finish treating me the day before and I have to pay twice for that? That's called double dipping and both illegal and unethical!!! And how is that my fault / problem?!
