It was a bare bones, kind of sad place. A friend recommended Cynthia to us and she came over. I have very little sense of design and no idea of color. My wife and I disagree about art and it's purpose in the house so, we were at a standstill. Trouble is, the house is 2 stories and needs character. Cynthia whipped up a design that we have been following for a year. We're not yet to the place where it's exactly to her specs but it's on its way and it looks better and better every day. I would say her specialty is converting a boring space to a vibrant and exciting one, but that's just one of the things she does great. The other is keeping the homeowner at ease, listening to their likes and dislikes and designing to THEIR tastes. Not her own. Occasionally she manages to sneak a preference in here and there but she always does it with care and makes you feel like you came up with it all on your own.
