Our reception was a bit unconventional, the timeline was packed, and the last minute return of the mask mandate added some logistical challenges. It was a stressful time, but it was so reassuring working with Clay and knowing things were covered on his end. I never felt like I had to worry about him, he just got it. The day-of, he arrived early and got straight to it, capturing candids as people arrived. The best complement I can give is that for most of the day, I really didn't see or think about him =) I trusted that he'd be wherever he needed to be capturing special moments. Occasionally I'd think, "oh, we should get a picture of this!" and then look around and see he's already all over it. When the pictures arrived I saw he captured everything I wanted and more! (And somehow from multiple angles... I swear he's part ninja!) The best part is the quality of the pictures he took. There's so much life and emotion in the faces of the people in his shots. She got smiles galore out of our little one, had an eye for capturing perfect shots, and was really creative. (My son couldn't sit up yet when the picture was taken, but she managed to snap that photo as he made a game of flopping over after we arranged him in a "tripod" position.) She knows how to make the best of natural light -- even if it means rearranging the furniture a little! In our session, we got photos in our home as well as outside, photos of the baby by himself and a few of the three of us together and of the baby with each parent individually. When I got the proofs, I actually squealed my way through them I was so delighted. We ordered pictures for our friends and family (including the one shown in the examples here), who loved them and admire our family portrait, which is so natural and captures our family perfectly.
