Don't let the emails scare you! I did add-ons this time, and I found the process to be confusing because the session length doesn't increase with the number of add-ons, which made me nervous that the 30 minutes wouldn't be enough. I eventually opted to keep one add-on (gelled lighting) and apply the remaining funds to additional images + small refund. Obtaining the refund has required some back-and-forth, but that's been the only hiccup and hasn't impacted the extremely high quality of the shoot, retouching, or final images in any way. Highly recommend Jeff if you want stunning, dramatic images that you'll be proud of for years to come. Are they expensive? Yes. Will you use them for literally everything for the next million years?
