I decided to go with them because their bid was the lowest but looking back there were a lot of red flags from the beginning of the communication process with this company that I should have considered. For example the owner sent me a side message saying if he were to respond to my message it would cost him $70; and just based on what I dealt with they do not seem to be a established business based on communication, the amount of nickeling and diming done and the final product. For the whole fence, I provided him with a picture of what I wanted specifically for the gates and some images circled and let him know I wanted it to be as long and continuous as possible with only metal cut offs where they needed to be and any extra support can go in the back. He also provided me a picture that had a lot of metal around the edges and I didn't not like that and stated it was too much metal and again provided him with my photo. This was the only conversation we had about the gate and when it was constructed it looked like the photo he sent vs what I sent. And instead of acknowledging his error he was rude and combative and his brother had to step it. That was the begging of a whole lot of other issues especially them nickeling and diming me for all of their errors that were a result of terrible communication from him. They charged me a flat fee to build the fence "professionally" and it looks a mess, there is nothing professional about it and also tried to hit me with fees for stuff that was included already in the price to rebuild so that is why I know they are a new business. The slide gate is not sturdy and they had to cut a whole in my other wood to make it functional, that I did not know about. They also installed the sensor wires on the outside which could easily be cut even though I expressed safety concerns throughout the whole process. When they were installing the sensors I was outside because they were 2 hours late and it was getting dark so I had my car headlights on and he never asked me anything about it and when I spoke to him about the placement he said it would delay the project and he needed to do what was best for him. After the wood sat in the sun for like 3 days the slide gate stopped closing because the sensors shifted and sounded an alarm with an error code of 71 every time you tried to close it. The only way to close it was to hold and after contacting him he blamed it on me after not responding for 2 days (see attached convo). I had lift master come out to fix it and it turns out they were a lot of issues like not installing all of the wires correctly etc. one of his friends did the install so I am not sure they were fully authorized to do it. The walk-in gate looks awful it was not measured correctly and it is not fully functional. He also agreed that the gate/fence does not look right which is also my fault according to him because I purchased my own wood (see attached convo). He also told me that it was "hard to install gates" and that he would have had to do extra stuff to make it even which was like what do you mean that's what you were getting paid for! For every complaint I had his response was, it's going to cost you to fix it. They just left me with whatever and now I have to deal with it. Now that the wood has been rained on and has settled the walk-in gate no longer stays closed at all and randomly opens. I provided them with the lock well beforehand and it's not operational. They screwed the key frame into the slots that the other wood is screwed into so the nails do not stay in place and a part of it has cracked off due to the gate slamming when it opens by itself. The metal part that is supposed to latch does not fit so it just does not stay closed. They also did not add support beams to the back of the fence so the fence bubbles out and caves in and is wobbly in certain places, especially places where the metal posts are because there are no screws there. Overall the did an awful job and they left me with a mess that killed my grass and and did not not finish painting. There are sooo many other things that I can highlight but this review is long enough and I can only add 10 pictures! 10/10 do not recommend!

After a month, the difference became almost 4 inches, which was a tripping hazard and didn't allow my kids to play in the driveway. I was referred to Alex and SafeLift and scheduled an appointment to discuss how to resolve the difference. Alex came on time and assessed what the issue was. He discovered multiple large voids underneath my driveway due to the brutal Texas heat and how my yard drained. He showed me the voids and demonstrated where other ones were that we could not see by using a rubber mallet. Initially, Alex did not want to take on the job. He explained he had no issue filling the void; however, some of the concrete on the sunken slap had started to show cracks, and he was afraid injecting foam underneath it might worsen the new cracks. I asked what the alternative was, and he said stabilizing the part that wasn't sunk and pouring a new slab to replace the sunken part would solve it 100%. I spoke with him some more, and I could tell he really knew what he was doing, and I understood why he hesitated to say yes immediately. Alex didn't want to tell me it would be perfect and not meet my expectations. I respect that level of honesty. When I asked him if we could try it out and see, he became more comfortable with the idea. He took time to explain all the things that may happen, and in the end, I felt the risk was worth the experiment. That evening, he later sent me a quote that was much, much lower than re-pouring that part of the driveway. I accepted the quote and scheduled a time for his team to work on our driveway. A week later, Alex, Noah, and another gentleman arrived on time. It was amazing to watch them work. They operated with a high level of care for my driveway and for each other. In the end, amazingly, my driveway returned to being flush again. None of the possible drawbacks occurred, and everything looked just like I had hoped. They cleaned up all of the loose foam, and when they finished, it looked like no one was ever there, and my driveway was completely flush again. Alex and Noah said that if I see any voids or parts sink for the next two years, call them up, and they will repeat the process. That is a much longer guarantee than I expected. I would refer anyone to SafeLift Concrete Leveling. Everyone I spoke with was incredibly professional and knowledgeable in what they do. I can tell they take their job seriously and operate with the utmost care. I especially appreciated the honesty and transparency Alex showed me. He could have simply said no, and I would have had to deal with a bigger problem. He managed expectations with me, and it was a pleasant experience from start to finish. I am very thankful that I do not need to have part or all of a new driveway poured. I would use SafeLift COncrete Levelining again without hesitation, and I recommend them to anyone needing concrete work by intelligent people who know what they are doing.

I hired Safe-Lift to pour a driveway for me on 3/1/25. Within a month after pouring, cracks started…read moreto appear as well as mottling. I requested the owner, Alex Lopez, to come and look at it several times. He never came back. He did send an employee who told me not to worry about the cracks or the mottling. He tried to say the mottling was from my sprinklers; however, it was March and I hadn't turned the system on yet. Then he tried to say it was leaves that caused the mottling, however, I watered the driveway as instructed, so there weren't any leaves on it during the cure time and I didn't park on it for 10 days. I filed a claim in small claims court in October 2025. Meanwhile I hired a cement forensic company to analyze and test the integrity of the cement poured. His testing showed that instead of the minimum 4" thickness, some areas were only 3-1/4" thick. There were many other defects listed in his report. I also found out he didn't get a pre-pour inspection from the city, but went ahead with the pour. On March 2, 2026, we went to court. My mistake was not taking the representative from the forensic company with me. The judge wouldn't even look at the report. Thats on me. I lost the case. i am an elderly widow. This was my first project alone. I put my trust in this young man to be honest and pour a quality driveway. Again, that's on me for being naive. I would not recommend Safe-Lift to pour a driveway for anyone. It has been a heartbreaking nightmare me.

I had an inspector named Matt. He was pretty easy to work with. For the third house they had fired Matt (I was later told he wasn't doing his job) and sent in Rudy to straighten out their big mess that they let Matt create. Rudy has the personality of a fence post, nice kid, but he was not a diplomat and they needed Henry Kissinger to clean up what Matt was allowing. I should have left them after the first house with Rudy. He will measure your nail spacing, he will argue with you over a 2.5" nail and the only nail you can buy is a 2.25". Just split hairs with me every time he came on my job. He finally quit. Don't blame him. The main office is a mess. I wanted to develop a two story for my company and AF took 8 months to do it. I missed the whole spring selling season and had to finish the house in 4 months of 98 degrees. I'm 65. I had the plans in my court for about a month while I worked with the draftsperson, but the other 7 months was me begging AF to get my project finished. My coordinator was Estella. She is incompetent. She will never acknowledge an email you send her, even if you ask her to do so. She will never move your project unless you are pestering her. Terrible. She would work for my company for a week and gone!! The city of Galveston requires two exit doors on the house. AF knows this and they sent me out the door with one exit door. It did not get caught at the city at plan approval, but did at final inspection. I put a door in the side of the house which was the only place it could go. Chandra tried to tell me I should have come back to them to design the door. I was pissed. YOU let me go out the door with plans that don't comply with the city requirements and you are going to tell me what I should have done. Their GM is David Franklin. He is Chandra's executioner and he will deliver the bad news that you have to tear something off and rebuild it. Their plans consist of 30 pages of fine print that cover every possible situation even if it does not apply to your house. They even include some multi-family specifications and you have to wade through 30 pages of fine print and decide what applies to you and what doesn't and if you get it wrong and you build it wrong, YOU are going to tear it off and you are going to pay for it. They will email you the prints, no discussion about we designed it this way - NONE. They already have your money, so they don't care about you once they deliver the prints to you. YOU are on your own for the most part and if you have a problem. They are closed from 12-1 every day for lunch and if Dmitri is off on Friday he will have lots to do on Monday and he won't call you back until Tuesday. It does not matter if you have $100/hr of trades standing there to attack a problem you encountered. The engineer is unavailable and it might be 2 or 3 days before they get back to you. In the meantime, you have made a decision, and it better be right, because you will tear it out if they do not like it. Happened to me several times and David will tell you "You do our way and we will approve it, you do it your way and we won't". I cannot think of a professional word to describe that guy. I can think of some 4 letter words. I just finished my last house with them and the reason I am expressing my opinion in this review. I called for the final inspection on a half million $ house and it took me 3 weeks get them to give me the paperwork. It doesn't matter if you have a closing to make. Their new inspector is Carlos and Carlos would not give me answers as to what two small items I needed to address because he was not on the clock. He really wouldn't do anything for me unless he was on the clock. In summary, and all of this entire review is my opinion, these people care only about protecting their liability and you will have to pay extra for it. They will not give you an orientation when you get your plans about how they designed it. That is for you to figure out. Their list of inspections is terrible. You'll have to figure out how to do it right. They have taken way too long on all of my projects. If it wasn't for Tim and Rachel, I would give them a 0 if it was an option. They are the only two that care. Chandra is off opening offices in Florida and she can't even run the office she has in Texas City. Don't be fooled by the cheap price. It will cost you lots in the long run and you won't sleep cause you are just so pissed about your relationship with your engineer that you hired to work for you. My last email to Chandra was never responded to. She's not responding to me because she knows she will never see any of my money again !!! The truth is when you hire them, you work for them, and don't forget it !!! All I can say is RUN.

I don't normally pay attention to FB ads but theirs was well written so I started researching them and decided to get a quote. I called them Wednesday, they came out Thursday to do inspection and give an estimate. I reviewed the estimate, they answered every question I had and compared their proposal to others I received and was impressed and signed the agreement. They came out this morning and walked me through the process then got to work. Daniel(owner) was onsite and explained where they were at throughout multiple phases. Impressed with the honesty, integrity and work ethic of VFR. They finished this afternoon; cleaned the worksite to as much as normal can be done on a job like this. Would definitely recommend that anyone that's needs foundation repair work done, get a quote from them, you'll be surprised when comparing theirs vs the other Big Name companies out there.
