They saw me at 8am the very next morning Dr Parham and her staff were so very nice ! They were able to fix my teeth temporarily until the permanent solution ! They looked better than ever ! On another visit to Kitty Hawk I broke some teeth (surfing is not my thing lol) she and her staff came up with a solution . She fashioned a bridge until my mouth healed then fixed it with a permanent bridge ! They are by far the friendliest, nicest folks you would ever want to meet! If I was a little closer they would be my dentist but I make several trips a year and Dr Parham and her staff take care of me ! They are also a good reason to take a trip to this area ( Kitty Hawk & Manteo) thank you Dr Parham !

There is always a wait past your scheduled appointment time--at least 30 minutes, but usually 45 minutes to over an hour. You might as well take the entire day off work because nothing runs on time. We've had to reschedule multiple appointments simply because I could not wait an additional hour past my appointment time. Once you're finally taken back, the waiting continues. Every time, they applied the topical numbing gel and then left me sitting so long that it wore off before the injection, causing unnecessary pain. In one instance, I was fully prepped and numbed only for the dentist to come in and say there was a mistake and that no procedure was needed at all. Both my spouse and I have dealt with excessively long waits, repeated scheduling errors, and poor-quality dental work. I had a root canal that took weeks to complete, and my bite is messed up as a result. It feels like they are not allowed to turn patients away, so instead they do such poor work that you won't want to come back anyway. I'm writing this to warn any potential new patients-RUN! There are far better dental offices out there. I genuinely feel bad for their current patients and hope they realize they have much better options.

And the dentist was straight rude when I asked a simple question about flossing and he acted irritated and condescending. They didn't have the technology to properly X-ray my small-child's mouth, so they missed some tiny cavities that we then had to drive to a actual "pediatric dentist" to care for... The last straw was when I accidentally showed up at an appointment 10 minutes late (mistook my 1:10 time for 1:20 kind of thing) -- After YEARS of being on time, they didn't even try to fit me in. Rescheduling would've been weeks and I'd driven half and hour (after they relocated they were so much further away). I decided just to take my kid to the Virginia dentist, and don't even mind the extra drive to see them. Furthermore, Woodson's waiting room is very cramped for overflowing appointments they cram in there so tightly. Maybe extend your office hours for after school, so you can spread things out and become more personal. Oh! And you edged out all the medicaid clients now too, I hear.... This community truly needs you to have more local competition - more options for PERSONable dental care!

Liz at the front desk was so nice, she immediately put me at ease. That set the tone. Robin, my hygienist, was thorough and efficient, and also very pleasant. Dr. Jacobson, while performing the exam, was gentle, and explained each step to me. He spent a good deal of time with me; I never felt like he was rushing through the exam.
