If you have ever thought about trying the game of golf...then this is the place you need to come to for outstanding golf instruction. These golf classes caters to ladies only. And the classes are limited to 6 students. This way, you get personal attention & instruction. The 10 hour class I attended , met Monday - Friday for 2 hours a day. Also, the instructor offers private lessons for both men and women. Sandra Chester is the LPGA teaching professional that will guide you through the basics along with her great assistant Kim. They have excellent booklets, with great illustrations for both right and left handed golfers. The booklets cover everything from general golf course information to equipment that you will need. From day 1 we not only had indoor class time, we also headed outside for hands on putting. I would truly recommend these classes to all ladies from the beginners to those who just want to learn the correct way to stand, hold your club, or just improve your game. Thanks to Sandra and Kim, I now feel that I can play a game and not make a total fool of myself. I sought out Rick for his successful college coaching credentials. Our first lesson showed he was an impressive and fast observer, and based his coaching on my game, physique, and basic flaws, which he made most understandable. In 5 more lessons, he gave me simple drills, much encouragement, and the order to "remember the good ones, not the bad ones." My accuracy percentage has improved impressively. My former persistent tops have become (mostly) airborne shots with about +8 yards per iron, and 10-15 on woods. I now have a clear idea about how and why proper posture (a big focus) and sequence work together. My short game have improved greatly, with more up and downs. The facility is immaculate and clean. From the Gate house to our dining room everyone was accommodating and friendly. For my lunch, I had chosen the fried cod sandwich with coleslaw and pickle and complementary shrimp cocktail. That was only $13.00. I had a cup of coffee, which was delicious and only needed a couple of Splenda's. That means it was a great coffee and my dessert was delicious. The whole bill came to only $22.31 before tip. I have to find out if it's open to the general public. You will have to call on your own earlier in the day to find out. Nobody picked up when I called. Well I did call back and I got through to the golf shop and I have a little sad news for you, you cannot eat there unless someone that lives there invites you or you are there for a special occasion like we were. Retirement has brought us to the west coast of Florida, and after looking at many many active adult…read morecommunities we settled on this one. We bought our home fortunately before prices skyrocketed, and have made modifications in the time we've been residing here. The community has a great golf course (enjoyed by my new golfer husband) and a large clubhouse with full restaurant and bar, recently renovated in 2021. Staff in office and restaurant are the best and always friendly, remembering you when we visit. Activities keep our schedules full, and regular shows entertained and happy. Grounds are extremely well manicured, making us feel we live in paradise.
