What an interesting place with truly unique gifts. The retail store is filled with all sorts of really neat items made from dried gourds. Since it is Christmastime, there are many very cute snowmen and Santa Clauses and elves and reindeer. But the remains of other seasons can be seen as well, most notably Halloween. Ladders hung from the ceiling are filled with gourd bird feeders. Everything is made by local craftspeople and they are clearly a talented bunch! There is even a large Komodo dragon made from gourds. Get off the beaten path (about 7.7 miles from I-81) and take a drive to this shop. You won't be disappointed. read more

I enjoy this place. My family and I have been going to their make your own events for a while. We went today (3/6/21) and it just was okay. Seemed like very little options were put out to choose from. The paint brushes provided were awful. The staff kept losing people's gourds when they would take them to be finished with their staining process. As people would come across something that would be "nice to use" the staff would remember that they were supposed to provide it and brought it out. It's spring/Easter time and there were no rabbit tails (cotton balls.) The glue guns and wood burning tools were all at one very small table. There was NO social distancing taking place because the room was crowded full of tables all placed upon each other. We were in the "back" room this time, and are usually in the front room. I recommend bringing your own paint brushes. If you sign up to be in the back room for a workshop they have you pay in a back room. So you don't get the option of walking through the store to pay. That's usually nice to see ideas or to possibly purchase more gourds. We could have walked around the front for the store but it was so bitter cold out and flurrying. So we just left instead. read more

Had such a wonderful experience here! Not only are the gourds beautiful, whimsical, and well made, but the people are wonderful. Also, they are kind enough to donate their gourds to non-profits for fundraisers. Definitely worth a visit! read more
