Somebody like me who works in the hospital and my schedule varies cannot go to the classes because you have to register. When I signed up in June for membership, nobody told me that you have to register for class. It would be better if they have registration every month. So if you skip one month you can register in second month. It doesn't help when you have to register every 3 months. When I called staff was very rude. Though I paid a lot of money for my membership, they act like we are going there for free. The staff is really rude. When you call they don't say please wait there is one person ahead of you. They just say hold on and they start music. When I called and asked for the classes the lady said I have been working here for long time and we always register for classes. They treat you very bad. It is very sad that Canton community became like this. I have lived in Canton for 27 years now. They need to train their employees how to talk and how to be nice with everybody.

I do believe the camp system could use lots of updates, but it is still fun for the kids. I was one of the counselors myself, and most of the kids enjoy the camp. Advanced camp however does tend to seem very oriented around cleaning instead of the horses. This is because of so many riders, and not enough horses for the kids to work with all day. The barn itself is gorgeous, with stalls cleaned every morning, and large day pastures as well as two year round outside pastures. Horses are well taken care of with grain and hay readily available. I will say, some of the website information is outdated, as well as all of these comments, so be sure to call the barn owner to ask for yourself. I have ridded, boarded, and leased from this facility for 12 years, and everywhere else i have gone has not been able to compare. That is why this place gets 5 stars. However i believe the camp system alone should get three stars for lack of improvement upon a broken system.

No first name, and rudely addressed in front of other people. Apparently my check I payed two weeks earlier (my daughter attends two day/week) was mostly just a deposit, which was also not explained to me. I apologized and said I'd bring in check when I came to pick up my daughter. Meanwhile, I had promised my daughter (as I always do now) to go to her window and blow her a kiss goodbye...this in exchange for her to be a "big girl" and not cry when I leave, which she often does. I was so embarrassed/offended on my way out that I forgot to go to her window. Talk about breaking my heart (and my daughter's) as I drove home remembering I'd forgotten the blown kiss! I had my daughter at Goodison in Rochester for a couple of years and the staff was wonderful. Caring and personable toward the children AND parents, so I'm not naive about how a great preschool should be run. It's a shame once the management has "reeled you in with tuition checks" they choose to be uncaring and insincere-- very unprofessional. The other riders are friendly and this is a NO DRAMA barn (which as a mom of a teenager...I appreciate!!) Robyn is wonderful with my daughter who also suffers from anxiety. She is patient and understanding. My daughters skills have increased 10-fold under Robyn. In addition to riding, there are fun events, shows (if you choose) and horsemanship training for those who want to take their knowledge to the next level. I highly recommend GES.
