The Meadows Hotel is a fabulous boutique hotel right in the middle of downtown Fulton, Kentucky. The place is over 100 years old, meticulously restored and refurbished, and completely up to modern standards. It's charming from bottom to top! The lobby features an old time corner entrance off the street. Inside you'll find the manager's counter and the bellhop's stand. The lobby is tastefully decorated with plenty of comfortable seating that looks out on the street. Accommodations are VERY reasonable. You can take the elevator or use the stairs to reach your room. The rooms are equal to those in upscale, big city hotels! The carpet is PLUSH. The beds are soft and comfy with plenty of quilts and blankets. The bathroom towels are SUMPTUOUS. Through a large side door in the lobby you'll find a first class bar and dining room. It opens in the late afternoon. Across the street in Tennessee (no kidding - the state line runs right through the center of town!) you can get a tasty, modestly priced breakfast Buttercup's Bistro. We think The Meadows Hotel would be a great place for a small wedding party. You could reserve the entire place for family and guests, and enjoy great meals and celebration at the very same spot! THE MEADOWS HOTEL IS FIRST RATE IN EVERY WAY - DON'T MISS IT!

Stayed her due to an activity at UT Martin. Would have never heard of it, but the Hampton Inn suggested it due to them only having king rooms left. We booked in advance. Was told we would be in room 9, and that was emailed to us. We knew we were going to be checking in late, the front desk called us to confirm our arrival and tell us about their late check in process (desk closes at 10). We get there and key to room 13 is left for us. Room 13 is a king, not the double we reserved for the 3 people in our group. We called the fd, already closed and left a message. Went to the bar, and they were able to call the owner who was out of town. We were given 2 options... go elsewhere or take it. Disturbing at 11pm in the middle of no where. Then he told us that we were bumped to this room due to a 3 room group that was staying 8 nights and no one notated that we needed a double. So our email confirmation was worthless. He did say he would comp our room. Waiting to see if that happens. 1 person had to sleep on the floor in our group. Really not acceptable. I would have thought they would have called and asked us before moving us. Guess it was to make more money in the end. We went down for Continental breakfast, never found it. Just a small room with a few pitchers of water.

Wow. Talk about a top notch facility. From the check in with Chad, to the fit and finish of the construction and the amenities of the rooms. This is truly a treasure in Fulton Ky. If you are in the area, make your way to The meadows. Every detail is truly taken care of and handled.

A view from the park in front of the hotel.

This hotel is dressed to impress! What a wonderful place. From the building to the staff, 10 out of 10, would do again! When we pulled up to park in the rear parking, I was immediately impressed with how cozy it felt, with the gas lamp fixtures by the back door and the outdoor patio with furniture where I could see myself sitting to enjoy a drink from the bar later. Enter and it's an educational experience with old pictures lining the walls of the hall way detailing the rich history of the hotel from the early 1900's which the kids enjoyed. The staff were warm and helpful. The room blew me away with how cozy it was with it's full length windows, plush thick carpet, beds that you melt into, extra seating for visiting guests, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and thick towels that seem to hug you when using them. Get you belly full of food (or libations) at the restaurant. Very welcoming atmosphere, well designed and decorated. The bar is fully stocked with top shelf liquors, and draft or bottled beers. The food menu had quite the depth with many choices. Our waiter was very professional and courteous. And, there was a piano in the dining area (un manned for our visit) but I'm sure is quite enjoyable when playing. In all, completely blown away! I stayed in three hotels this same week, with this being my last one of the trip, and they couldn't have came remotely close to touching this place. Do yourself a favor, don't second guess yourself!

His daughter had booked a room for us a while back and when I waited in the car I've taken notice that I've been waiting for quite some time. He comes out to the car to tell me that the lady behind the counter was giving him a hard time because of his daughter booking the room for him. Apparently, she had some kind of attitude with him and stated that his daughter had to be there in order to receive the Hampton Inn Awards member discount or something like that. He explained to her that he never had to do this, and it's never been an issue. He doesn't travel often, but in these economic times, every little savings count. As he was explaining this to me, I told him this would be a bad time to see if I could use the bathroom. The way he was describing her, I said I'll just go over to the nearby gas station. I came back from the gas station and waited outside and thought to myself, this must not be good because he's not standing out here with our key cards. He ended up calling his daughter to explain to the receptionist that this has never been an issue up until now. So all of a sudden she changes her tune and says that he can still book a room but it'll be $130. He also told me some young guy approached him and asked if he had a problem and my boyfriend turned to him and said I'm just trying to check into a room like this guy with some kind of enforcer. I don't like to give bad reviews or play the race card, but unfortunately that is what my boyfriend had to deal with being an African American man. So we took our business to Union City and have been greeted with the utmost respectful, kind staff at the place where we stayed. Oh, did I mention that this happened with my sister too? Yeah, she went through the same bullshit as well. Gave my sister attitude for wanting to check into a room and she is also an African American woman herself. Coincidence? You be the judge. I have told my family about this and will tell friends if you're ever in the area don't even bother coming to this Hampton Inn location because apparently people that are of color seems to be frowned upon there.

Honestly they need to throw the entire two mattresses away in the room I was in (220). It was like over used, bouncy, and full of springs. The WORST night sleep I've ever had. It didn't help that the pillows were just as bad. I initially thought about staying a second night when the room was booked but thankfully I decided to head home to my own comfortable bed. I don't like to post negative Yelps but management must do something about their beds!

It looks very small from the street and maybe only have 8-9 rooms I think. It was very easy to check in and the lady was very nice. There is covered parking right in front of your room door. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked inside. It had a spacious living room area with a tv sofa coffee table and large chair, along with a kitchen, full size fridge, microwave, sink, actual dishes, coffee maker, a dining room table that seated 4 people. The king size bed was in this room. There was a small bathroom in the hall. There was a door that led to the other bedroom in the suite that had its own tv, a queen size bed, and then a huge bathroom. The shower was a walk in shower and was about as big as the other bathroom in the hall! The beds were very comfortable (I kinda wish I had that mattress at home) and the rooms were very clean. It felt like we were at a home away from home. Bonus was that they are pet friendly! There was some wear and tear in a few places. There was a little paint peeled off in the queen bedroom at the baseboard and the tile on the kitchen counter was cracked pretty good. It was nothing that was really noticeable if you weren't OCD lol. The checkout process was easy....just leave the keys on the table. We will definitely be staying here again if our family reunion is in KY again next year!
