I didn't think the new location, even though its brand new, would have been better then the previous king st west location, boy was I wrong. this massive upgrade of a location is replacing an old parking lot that in the summertime would have jewelery and tourist items for sale. this location is pretty intimidating with how much more space this location has, and also how bright everything is. and oh man the rock climbing wall is back! something that used to be at the king st location, but has been resurrected for this location, sadly only a single wall but still something awesome (see photos) everything is clearly labeled into its sections and so much room to walk around, it truly is a site to be seen. you should definitely go out of your way to come to this location, I thought the methods that they put forward for the north York location was great, but they made improvements from that store to this one parking is directly on site for this location in the bottom of the store and im not sure if a break is given for people who shop at mec or not. transit options are the 501 queen st streetcar, the 510 spadina and the osgoode subway station on the YUS line. very happy with this location.

Oh my! This store may be small but I could spend hours in it…read more I love the quality of Arc'teryx products and I'm finding that more and more of my hiking gear is coming from this company. I came here today specifically to get new hiking pants. The service was fantastic and everyone in the store pitched in, offering their opinions and just generally helping out. I was able to find the perfect pair in the perfect size but they only had them in brown and I wanted black... but I kinda liked the brown too. The girl that was assisting me confirmed they were in stock online and suggested that I order them from the website. She then told me that shipping is only two days and... wait for it... FREE! Yay!!! :)))) So here's my dilemma... Brown, in store purchase, instant gratification. Black, online purchase, receive them next week, practice patience. Brown, black, now, then. Ah heck... my philosophy has always been... when in doubt, buy both! I walked out with the hiking pants in brown and ordered the black pair when I got home! Happy days! :)) I love this store and I will definitely be back!

Arc'teryx Beta AR -- Fails Durability Expectations…read more I expected the Arc'teryx Beta AR to last, especially at this price. Instead, all my jackets developed zipper delamination and seam‑tape failure, despite minimal use and proper storage. There is no wear anywhere else, which makes it obvious the failure is in the materials and construction, not the user. Arc'teryx Warranty dismissed the issue and offered only 20% of the original price if I surrendered the jackets. They refused proper repairs, even if I paid. This does not meet the standard of reasonable durability that consumers expect -- especially from a brand that markets itself as the best in the industry. I'll be posting this experience on consumer platforms so others can make informed decisions. Premium pricing should come with premium durability and a responsible warranty -- Arc'teryx failed on both.

Take this review with a grain of salt-- it's strictly relative to all the other baitshops we've…read morebeen to. That said, the store is objectively quite good. The people who work there are nice (which is surprisingly unusual for a baitshop in Ontario), the prices are good (ditto; its a great spot to stockup on extra tackle and such en-route to your fishing spot), and the minnows are quite vigorous. In our experience driving across Ontario, you usually get to pick one of those things. No other shop we've seen has managed to hit all three. We've gotten fairly resigned to a sizable percentage (sometimes half) of the minnows dying before we get a chance to use them, but that just isn't the problem here. Every single unused minnow we bought is still alive and well in my cooler over a day later, and aside from a few that seem to have died from oxygen deprivation while we were changing fishing spots, we didn't lose any en-route. The only cons are: the place is a little bit hard to find (it's behind the Husky, and in a little corner unit that's a bit hard to spot), and occasionally their hours change a bit. So you may want to call in to be sure they're open at times. Still, the location is handy if you're going up North from the GTA to fish, and they're near Bass Pro (their reputation is good enough that the fellows at Bass Pro were the ones that originally directed us here), so its a great one-stop spot to replenish equipment as well as bait and tackle.
