Methinks not. Basically it's overpriced travel / sports clothing. They had some nice rain coats from North Face however. Might be worth a look in the winter time when they have the winter coats out. We shall see!

I came here for one thing specifically... and ONLY because everywhere else I called around town weren't willing to, or couldn't, order it in for me but they seem to have a nice (yet limited) supply of mostly higher end gear and clothing. I doubt very much that I would shop here again as there are other places which have a far greater selection for lower prices. One thing I was certainly disappointed with was that they didn't honour the '10% off your purchase' check-in offer. The owner claimed to know nothing about it... I'm not quite sure how that would happen.

Unfortunately, it seems the people running Camp Connection haven't bothered to read these reviews…read moreand perhaps learn how they could do better... I recently had a pretty disappointing / frustrating experience shopping at Camp Connection. Without going into detail, their customer service people made it very clear to me that our many years of spending our hard earned $ there means absolutely NOTHING to them, while refusing to own a mistake that their store made that left me with a product that I can't use. It's important for their patrons and prospective customers to know that customer loyalty seemingly holds little significance for them, and that if even a minor dispute should arise, the cost of the product (however minimal) + not owning their mistake(s) are demonstrably of far greater importance to them than the entire past and future's-worth of YOUR business. I've received their message loud and clear and am sharing it with the hope of sparing others a similar experience. Nobody likes to feel ripped off and on top of that, not valued (especially, after many years of patronage). Finally, it should be mentioned that I reached out to Camp Connection to let them know that I would be sharing my experience. They ignored me. They don't care. Shop where business owners appreciate your business, that care about their reputations and their customers, and that own their mistakes. Camp Connection is NOT one of those places.

Camp Connection is a holdover from the days before fast fashion meant anyone could outfit…read morethemselves in a new $3 t shirt every day of the month. Designed to support kids heading off to overnight camp they specialize in the kind of clothes that parents wouldn't care if they never saw again. T shirts, Ivy League themed bootleg sweatshirts, flannel pyjama bottoms and the like. It was a successful model; one that relied on parents to buy in bulk and not ask questions or expect any kind of service beyond reaching the top shelf. But as the retail landscape has changed, and brands like Old Navy and Urban Outfitters and H and M have entered the fray, Camp Connection feels like an anachronism. Kids can buy their disposable summer gear elsewhere for less money with cooler licensing. Prices have risen while staff attitudes and return policies have soured. They even recently discontinued their already modest loyalty program at a time when most brands are scrambling to throw free merch associated with byzantine points systems at you. In this respect, Camp Connection stands in contrast to MEC and Sporting Life; both retailers who have upped their online retail presence and expanded aggressively; capturing a more premium-minded outdoor enthusiast and backing the customer experience up with rock solid service. I won't pile on to the negativity, but will just ay the three start I bequeath herein are because Camp Connection seems to be the only place to get Stone Peak cotton camp socks in a size that fits me. These are the greatest socks in the universe, and since nobody will take socks back anyway, they are enough reason to endure the indignity of shopping here.

Take this review with a grain of salt-- it's strictly relative to all the other baitshops we've…read morebeen to. That said, the store is objectively quite good. The people who work there are nice (which is surprisingly unusual for a baitshop in Ontario), the prices are good (ditto; its a great spot to stockup on extra tackle and such en-route to your fishing spot), and the minnows are quite vigorous. In our experience driving across Ontario, you usually get to pick one of those things. No other shop we've seen has managed to hit all three. We've gotten fairly resigned to a sizable percentage (sometimes half) of the minnows dying before we get a chance to use them, but that just isn't the problem here. Every single unused minnow we bought is still alive and well in my cooler over a day later, and aside from a few that seem to have died from oxygen deprivation while we were changing fishing spots, we didn't lose any en-route. The only cons are: the place is a little bit hard to find (it's behind the Husky, and in a little corner unit that's a bit hard to spot), and occasionally their hours change a bit. So you may want to call in to be sure they're open at times. Still, the location is handy if you're going up North from the GTA to fish, and they're near Bass Pro (their reputation is good enough that the fellows at Bass Pro were the ones that originally directed us here), so its a great one-stop spot to replenish equipment as well as bait and tackle.

In that year I've sent them over a hand full of customers whom, like myself, have spent well over $1,500.00 in this store. So you could say the owner (Tony) and his assistant know me. Yesterday I walked in to buy a laser/light tactical combo, no batteries included, even though the manual says the batteries are included. No on top of that he tried charging me $10 EACH BATTERY! So I stopped and told him fairly "come on man, it's not like I'm a stranger, you can give me a couple batteries." And he replied "our prices are pretty fair, and batteries are pretty expensive, $10 each is a fair price." At that point I seen who I was really dealing with, so I said "I see how you treat your customers, I've spent over $1,000 in your store and you're about to lose a customer over batteries?" He didn't have anything to say. Honestly, I won't lie, their prices are fair, but if personally I'd rather drive 30 minutes further and pay $2-10 more on a product and give someone ELSE the business. I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone I've ever met. As a matter of fact please don't bring your business here. Told ya I'd do this Tony.
