I ordered a beautiful wooden canoe paddle and wanted the gift-receivers name engraved on the bottom. I popped in with the paddle, told them my vision and it was perfect and ready for pickup within a week. About three days after dropping it off, they sent me a few options to choose from, and it looked *exactly* like the one I chose. Now that I know I can laser etch things with such ease, shit around my house is getting monogrammed. Because, again, LASERS ARE COOL.

The other staff are friendly, sincere in their interactions, helpful and really kind about explaining the processes even though it's a busy place. The first job I brought here was done perfectly. I was also grateful that they were willing to take a small job. The second job got kind of messed up. Delivery of the end product was late and I ended having to hand cut everything because the precision wasn't there. There was also a lot of waste of the material. They have a 3D scanner/printer available for use for students, staff, and faculty. They also incubate and mentor innovator groups and design their own apps. You need appointments to use the 3D printer. Super easy to arrange via email. You can print out some really gnarly stuff like frogs (cool for biology), spaceships, design items and even jewelry.
