For context, I have two legal last names. I had to go inside to cash a check that only happened to have one of my last names: I had everything needed in order to cash it (check, two forms of ID). The easiest thing would've been for them to tell me from the get-go, a reissued check was necessary and that's what I would have to do to receive my final pay (I was unaware it would make that much of a difference with only one last name, sue me I'm only 20!) . Instead, I had to answer my own questions while simultaneously being told condescendingly they weren't able to do anything because of the lack of both my last names, and that I wasn't understanding the issue. Mind you, I explicitly stated, "I understand I'm unable to cash the check due to the lack of both my last names, so what do I have to do in order to receive my final pay? Get a reissued check with both last names?" My comprehension was not the issue, I just needed confirmation from the bank tellers, who should know more, on what I needed to do. But instead, I got to speak to two different tellers, one who was as timid as a mouse and the other extremely condescending and seemingly on a power trip, who were of no assistance. Apparently, you need to do your own research before going into the bank and educate yourself on every possible situation and outcome so as to avoid any possible conflict.

I was assisted by Jose E who helped me open an account. He was super cordial and explain everything that I needed know. I feel that this is going to be a good relationship over my last bank. On a side note: This branch is super busy and they have multiple new accounts representatives and loan officers that are able to assist and at least four to five tellers on the line.
