Very cheap mattress like laying on springs, also someone put just a piece of plywood down the center of the bed, so you feel like you are rolling off. There's a fantastic "Lodge" type building with a full kitchen and bathrooms up at the top of the hill that can be rented for weddings or large family reunions. They offer volleyball areas, kayak rentals and camping spots. You can get spots where you can park with water and electricity, or you can get more primitive spots where you need to hike in. Most spots have a cement fire pit. It's very family friendly with a nice little store for camping supplies, shirts or frozen treats. There's a nice, clean bath house and Port-a-John's for people who don't mind using those. For people who don't like campers or tents, Wabasis offers cabins and a cottage. The cottage has four bedrooms, a well stocked eat-in kitchen, living room, TV, rowboat and a bath. Two of the bedrooms have queen beds, one bedroom has two twin beds and one bedroom has a single twin bed. Someone could also sleep on the couch, and we have even had kids sleep on the love seat. The cabins offer two bedrooms, with a small kitchenette/couch but NO bathrooms. The cabins are clean and spacious for a family of four. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other offers two sets of bunk beds. There is a couch in the cabins for an extra person. Both the cabins and the cottage are pet-friendly. We enjoy camping and have camped at Wabasis with tents, and our camper. In the fall we usually rent the cottage or a cabin, depending on what's available and have all the kids and grandkids come for a long weekend. There are trails to hike, fishing, and boating.

Whatever you want to call it, this little park is located near a lake, and has a sandy beach area, a shallow area for swimming, barbecue and picnic areas, a playground and a disc golf course. You can swim here, but there's no lifeguard on duty. At least, there wasn't one when I visited. This park seems like a good place to swim if you have young children, because the water is calm and the shoreline is shallow. This is a good beach to wade and splash in. We mostly spent our time at the playground, which is fun for kids and looks kind of like multiple tree houses. It also has slides, lots of things to climb on, and a playground equipment piece that looks like a boat. There's also a Little Free Library next to the playground. This is a fun little park with lots of different things to occupy a kid's time.

After you get there, they inform you that there will be an additional fee of $20 per day to park your cars ... including the day you leave. So, your bill becomes doubled. 2 days camping = $60.00 Truck to pull camper and wife's car = $60.00 ($20 just to leave in the morning) Total = $120.00 In addition, the roads in the park are in terrible repair. Pot Holes 3 feet wide shake everything in the trailer.... requiring you to crawl all the way to your spot and back out. We will not be going back to this park to camp again.

In prior years, this park operated under far more competent and principled management. The current…read moreleadership demonstrates little integrity, selectively enforcing rules based on which guests are involved, rather than applying standards consistently. The only faintly positive aspect is the continual turnover in management and staff, which at least suggests this leadership group may not be long‑lasting. Operationally, the park has declined to an unacceptable level. Trailers are now positioned so closely together that a single fire could have catastrophic consequences--an obvious and serious safety hazard that responsible management would never allow. Basic maintenance is also being neglected: sites remain unmowed, trash is left scattered throughout the grounds, and during our most recent visit the bathrooms were not stocked with something as fundamental as toilet paper. The park's inclusivity and overall atmosphere fluctuate from season to season, and this year has been particularly poor. Even core amenities are unreliable; toward the end of last season, the tubing bus broke down on multiple occasions, disrupting one of the park's primary activities. Additionally, the decision to prohibit wood vendors from entering the park forces guests either to bring their own firewood from outside or pay an exorbitant price for sawmill scrap--an unnecessary inconvenience created entirely by management. After four years of visiting, this season has been, by a wide margin, the worst experience to date. I intend to update this review once the current leadership inevitably turns over, assuming the next team demonstrates higher standards and a basic commitment to safety, maintenance, and guest experience.
