Matt is such a great guide and even better guy! I just moved up here and no clue where to fish. Once I got in contact with Matt, it was a great experience for me and one that I'll never forget. My brother in law and I booked a 4 hour trip fishin for Chinook salmon on the Betsie river on 9/26/2024. Matt never showed up or answered our texts and calls. He finally sent a vague lame excuse about an hour after we were supposed to depart. He never tried to make it right. Just left us high and dry. Good luck if you book with this guy. read more

My friend and I were looking for a salmon guide in northern Michigan and we came across Matt with On Target Fishing from a Google search. He was very communicative during the entire booking process. When it came down the time on the river, Matt put us on fish right away and we had a blast till our arms got sore!! Very knowledgeable, kind guy and knows his water ways in and out! 10/10 recommend and will be booking future trips with him! read more

A great day on the Muskegon River with Matt. He knew exactly what he was doing and we caught a lot of fish. My son has special needs and he was very patient in teaching him how to reel in the salmon and browns. Matt has a great personality and is very easy to get along with. My husband and son had the best day out on the water with him and would encourage others who enjoy river fishing to contact him! read more

Matt is a very knowledgeable guide that knows the river systems extremely well and genuinely enjoys putting his clients on fish. I had fished the river he took me on before but he had a whole new perspective and taught us a lot about the area and different places to fish. He was a lot of fun to be in the boat with all day and I'll definitely be booking another trip! read more

Matt is awesome. He really know his stuff and catches fish. If there are Kings or Steelhead to be caught, Matt will catch them. He has a super boat for fishing rivers and all the gear. Highly recommended. read more
