The entire operation and everyone involved has been professional and focused on providing the best care possible. Dad experienced some medical problems (completely unrelated to the care provided by Visiting Angels) after a year into the VAO care program which resulted in changes to his living arrangements. VAO was understanding, cooperative, flexible, helpful and supportive in making adjustments to Dad's care program. It has now been nearly 18-months since VAO began providing services. We have never had a problem with billings, services, care-givers, or compliance with the scope of services provided by VAO and the outstanding staff. Dad has been cared for by one person for the overwhelming majority of time - but there has been a limited number of days when other caregivers were required to fill-in (due to illness, doctor visits, family emergencies, etc) for Dad's primary caregiver. The "substitute" caregivers were each well informed of Dad's condition/personality before arriving and each provided good, friendly, quality support that was welcomed by Dad. If you're ever in need of a reliable home health care service to provide care, companionship, light housekeeping services, assisting with meal preparation and clean-up, personal hygiene and grooming support, and a compassionate friend to help care for a loved one, I would certainly strongly recommend VAO. Even though they have awesome neighbors and friends, it was time to have more direct home care for them. I have the pleasure of speaking with and dealing with Veronica, she jumped into play and organized a game plan to assist with our parents. Veronica is on top of her game, she right away called our Mom's Doctor to find out her medications and Doctor appointments. Veronica set her up with a Caregiver right away and started on Wednesday. If you have elderly parents and don't' live by them---I would 100pct support and recommend Visiting Angels... Thanks, Veronica for your continued help and quick response's...

This review is for the interactions via the phone and in person with several of the staff members,…read morebased on three to four interactions. Specifics will not be made due to HIPPA privacy which I take very seriously and expect others to do the same. I found one staff member to be very personable by phone, but slightly demoralizing in tone (possibly meant well, I do tend to believe the best about people). I can't explain the exact way it was said, but there was so much focus put on externals, or not asking what the client needed, but telling me what they planned on giving potential clients. Another staff member was pleasant to deal with by phone but lacking in personal service details, offering unsolicited advice unrelated to the potential job at hand. However helpful, it was rude and actually insulting, resulting in further impressing potential client to not go with this company. Something was also said in one of the client's absence to another family member that was demoralizing, which they didn't want to share until later because it would have possibly affected client's morale and treatment. Summation: the level of customer service that is being offered at this particular locale is not up to par for this line of work, in reviewer's opinion and experience. I wouldn't say anything in a review that I would not say, and probably didn't already say, to someone's face. Realizing people have an "off" day or that miscommunications can arise, the burden is on the provider of care to interact with the clients and family in a way that brings well-being to a client, and a sense of pride and accomplishment to the staff. Been on both sides of that fence so I know of what I speak and try to treat others kindly whether or not they are in a position to do something for me. Hope this feedback helps others to adjust their demeanors accordingly so that their business may prosper in the future with other seniors and or disabled community participants.

The issue is the office that takes care of scheduling and billing. There are consistent problems with billing amounts and frequency. When I asked for a detailed document outlining the the dates and amounts of the bills, I got an email with one sentence of incorrect response. No document, no dates, no amounts. I know this because I did a detailed inspection of the bills to my credit card, and found that they double billed me services more than once, and wrong amounts multiple times. I have terminated their services, and will be notifying the Florida Board of Nursing, as well as Comfort Keepers Corporate of this situation. In my opinion, you should look elsewhere for an in-home care giver.

There is open line of communication; types of care covered are too numerous and personal to list here, but can run the gamut from: personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep assistance, mobility challenges, making sure that the floor has no obstructions when client is walking, general CNA (Certified Nursing Aide, like I used to do many moons ago), and HHA (Home Health Aide) designations, as well as contact with nursing and other staff.
