While I've had positive visits in the past, my last visit was disappointing. I should have read the forms more carefully, but it would be helpful for the physician and technicians to go over them verbally. I was told later that there was no way to no what the cost would be. However, I was given a bill promptly after the diagnostics with an amount. In other practices, such as optometrists, a full rundown of costs are given before you purchase an item. It isn't difficult. So, I find it unconvincing that a routine test and standard insurance deductibles could not be estimated beforehand. Another issue I encountered at this office during several visits was the display of a bible -- once in an exam room and later in the waiting room. I was told that patients sometimes leave items. But there was no indication that they intended to do anything about it. I find it hard to believe people randomly leave items in exam rooms without them being noticed and removed. I think it's important to create a neutral and welcoming environment for all patients, not just a select group. So, Lewis Gale Physicians apparently are either proselytizing or pandering. Neither is useful in a medical practice. I will likely be looking for an alternative that treats all patients respectfully, discloses costs, and communicates more effectively.

Every single person I met was absolutely wonderful, welcoming, kind, and very easy to talk to. When talking with Amber Neal I instantly felt comfortable and I felt like I was in very good hands with this office. I have never had such an excellent experience and I am very grateful to now have such a supportive and kind family physician. This visit was much better than the first one I made with them. My son and I received great care. I would go back to them again for similar symptoms. When looking at their ratings versus other facilities in the area that were open today - they had the best ratings and once we arrived they got patients in and out quickly.

And they've screwed up my families billing to many times to count. We have 2, yes two forms of health insurance. When you try to call to fix the issue, you can't understand what they are saying except for "that's your bill, pay now?" "We bill you, you pay" Avoid the medical billing shakedown from these 3rd party mobsters. They'll have you in collections for thousands over a aspirin that you never took. They do medical billing code like they are playing a game of bingo. AFC, if you want to be a better place, ditch the 3rd party mobsters and con artists. Staff and doctors are great, not worth dealing with a shakedown for your money because they have no idea how to bill your insurance.
