I was in search of a wheelchair and came upon this place on Yelp. I called at 11am on a Saturday and was told by a nice lady that yes they were open but if I arrived and the door was locked, to give her a call so she could open the door for us. I arrived about 30 minutes later and the door was locked. Called the number listed and the nice lady who answered the phone earlier said she would send someone to come open up the shop in a few minutes and to wait there momentarily. Over 20 minutes later and 2 additional phone calls, a man finally arrives at the shop apologizing about not being there and opens up the shop for us. Walking in, the place is a bit cluttered but they have a good selection of wheelchairs and other various medical equipment. The sales person helped us quickly find a lightweight transport wheelchair and let us try it out. There were no prices listed on any equipment in the store so we perused online to get the gist of how much we would be spending. Well, once we agreed on which wheelchair we wanted to buy we asked for the price and was told it was $100 over what we had expected to pay. That really frustrated us and he flat out told us the price was not negotiable but he would take off $20 since we had to wait for him to open up the store. I fully support small businesses but I also would like full transparency and don't enjoy bargaining. This place needs to list their prices and stick with it. Overall, if you're desperate for medical supplies, I'm sure you can find it in this place. But call before you waste your time coming here and also be prepared to spend $$ over typical pricing.

We were looking for a donation alternative to Goodwill for reasons, and the pick up dates weren't an option for us. After loading everything into the truck and driving to the address on the AOH website, it appears there is no such donation station. Proprietors at the address had never heard of it. Asked if I could take some home rather than throw them away and they said no. Really wanted to dumpster dive later. But fast forward like 20 years and here I am again volunteering. This time in their repackage center. This was not like last time when we had to sort through donations. It was all assembly line packaging care boxes. They had a ton of volunteers there from different organizations on a Saturday. We were supposed to have a free breakfast, but there was none. So that kinda sucked. But they have a food court where you can buy stuff. They also have lockers for you to store things in. You are supposed to wear long pants or knee length shorts but I saw lots of folks with shorter shorts. Also closed toe shoes are supposedly required and this means no crocs specifically. but they didn't do inspections or say anything to anyone. Also they didn't ask for the minor waiver forms at check in. I think the warehouse wasn't air conditioned. Just one gigantic ceiling fan where we were so it started getting kind of hot. Lots of kids volunteering. Lots of church groups and schools. I think 6 years and above can volunteer.
