For sure there was more out of pocket. When I called to ask why they didn't discuss any of this with me, again it was "my fault" for not double checking.

I desperately needed a walker, having just being discharged from the hospital. July 3rd and not a walker to be had until the next week. At 4:55 I called Elixir and Vincent answered the phone. He was just closing and said he would deliver my walker to my home that afternoon. Vincent came as promised, put my walker together and made sure it felt safe to me. This is high quality customer service - and for a $30 walker! Elixir gets all my business if I ever need medical equipment.

I guess I forgot to review this with all the crazy moving and changes I had to do end of last year…read moreand beginning of this year. I have been having serious sleep issues for years. 3 years or so ago, I started to suspect I have sleep apnea. I was being told I would stop breathing when I sleep. I was not sleeping well at all. My snoring was deafening. I was always tired to the point I was scared while driving and avoided it because I had to fight falling asleep. Yeah it was not good! I eventually went to a sleep doctor and yes I had a bad case of sleep apnea. I needed a CPAP machine to not only sleep properly but for my health, I wouldn't stop breathing many times during the night and that was dangerous. CPAP machines are expensive, though, and insurance companies don't just pay for them. They do a rent to own situation with medical equipment companies. They pay it off in monthly installments based on your use and they monitor it. This was the medical provider that gave me my Cpap machine... which has been a life saver. I believe they subcontracted out and the person who came showed me how to operate the machine. Unfortunately he did not give me correct info on how to clean the machine and I ended up getting sick within two weeks of use and made me have to go to urgent care to get treated. Besides that I am thankful they helped me get my CPAP machine.

She…read morelikes to sit on her walker even though she's not supposed to and I wanted to get her one that she could do so, and it would turn into a wheelchair so I could push her comfortably. He showed me various options and explained exactly how it would change from a walker to a wheelchair. He also said he would adjust the item for her. It was clear that he knew what he was doing and I noticed that he had everything in the store from canes, walkers, wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs and armchairs that are motorized to help a person stand. He works on all of this! I got his card and talked with my husband about when to get it for her: Christmas, now. Etc. We decided to get it for her as an early Christmas present . I took her to the shop yesterday and she loved it! She mentioned it was extremely comfortable not only in the handles but in the seat. We also purchased a cup holder and quilt items for Christmas presents that his wife makes. He is a "no pressure" individual and is happy to answer any questions that you may have. He is also close by so we can contact him if we need to for anything.
