Today I mentioned that perhaps they should offer earplugs. The work being conducted specifically on this Saturday is called the community space 1 was particularly Loud. I asked to shut the door, and one of the staff allowed it and thenMrs. Karen Kelly G. to whom is indeed Vociferous. Stated the door had to remain open, then she mentioned a time this week when I was on the phone, which isn't the case today. it was rather a peaceful day, and it was great. I mentioned to her if ever there is an issue please mention this to patrons on that day. The security was not present today, and all days where there is patronage in the library there should be present security which often is loud themselves. The title in this case doesn't have precedence. it more about the actual ability to be respectful and restorative in any flaws that human beings tend to make. I conduct work in various counties and this work can range from county libraries to city libraries. I don't encounter these issues anywhere but places where security, along with staff of the libraries are equally LOUD!

Depending on which entrance you take, you might've seen the lockers. These lockers allow you to access your hold requests outside of library hours (absolutely amazing and how come more libraries don't do this?!). There are two study rooms you can request as well as a laptop bar where you can sit and get work done in front of large glass windows. There is also a huge selection of children's activities throughout the week with story times and fun for the kiddos! It is clean and well organized. They have a play area under a decorative tree that had a play kitchen, train table, farm, and lots of puzzles. They also have a turtle. This branch has a convent book drop and pick up area. Since it's during COVID there outdoor picnic area is available if you want to hang out side. The parking lot has a few pot holes so watch out. Tucked within the books are many play options. My son enjoyed the puppet theater, bean bag chairs, tablet games, play kitchen and train table. They also have puzzles, building blocks, and coloring areas. They have seating for adults which is great so you can supervise your child but also let them play with the other kids. My favorite part was the family bathroom. Small toilets and stools for the sink. My son is working on potty training and was so excited he had to give it a try.

The library is part of CLEVNET so you can use your card from other libraries in the library network to check out library books and materials. I found this very convenient when I spontaneously decided to check out a few books that my book clubs are reading! AMENITIES: The library is fairly small and has two floors. There is a room with public computers downstairs and photocopiers. Also, four meeting rooms (downstairs and upstairs) and Toni Morrison Reading Room. The Culinary Literacy Center is located on the second floor and provides a demo kitchen. Convenient outdoor hold lockers are available for book pickup after hours. The library offers passport services, and voter registration.  COLLECTION: The collection is fairly small and occupies the first floor of the library. The collection includes books, DVDs, audiobooks, and CDs available from the library and CLEVNET catalog. On the plus side, the collection is very easy to navigate. Teens and kids areas are clearly labeled. New books are displayed at the front for easy navigation. The library will provide plastic bags if you need to carry away your exciting finds. SERVICE: The librarians are very friendly. When I asked about certain section's location, the librarian walked me over to the correct section and suggested other books. It was very sweet and attentive. FRIENDS BOOK SALES: Friends book sale was in full swing during my visit. The materials were very budget-friendly - 50 cents for adult books, 25 cents for paperbacks, 50 cents for CDs, 25 cents for music cassettes. Better yet, the prices reduced over the sale period down to a nickel! The collection was extensive but books were mostly older published books. In fact, the collection occupied the entire second floor. I only spent $1 and purchased two books. One book was Freida McFadden's Do You Remember? which is my favorite of hers. The second was a book of canning recipes! I am attaching a list of upcoming events to my review. EVENTS: This library location hosts very fun events! I attended a concert of Duo Balalaika's Oleg Kruglyakov that provided excellent cultural immersion, lovely music, and nostalgic feel. The event was hosted on the second floor in a comfy conference room. I look forward to my next visit to this library and others in the Lorain Public Library System (LPLS). It seems like the libraries in this system have some cooking events. I look forward to attending one of them very soon!

The main Library of the Lorain Public Library System has a lot to offer just about anyone. Here are just some of the things that the LPL has to offer.
