A great play area with train table, kitchen area, light table and other interactive toys for kids. There are computers for kid use. Along with other play are spread through the library. Near the circulation desk in the childrens section They have a list of all their programs which was diverse and for many ages. There is a pet Guinea pig. Plus some sort of interactive and themed area. Like writing a letter to Santa with reindeer food. My kids had a great time and can't wait to come back!

Unfortunately, they didn't have either books we were looking for, but we were able to reserve the books. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, just as you would expect in a library. There were several rooms available for reservation. The computer lab had many computers as well as active users. This will be our go to library due to its proximity to our home.

Kidding aside, I absolutely love this place. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and if they are able to, they order the books that I request, no problem. Their selection of books is fantastic as well, and the way they've separated the books by genre is a great way to keep things fresh and interesting as well as help me discover new books in my favorite genres. They also do monthly book boxes that I have never been disappointed in. Yes, the books are not as cheap as you'd find them on Amazon. But Jeff Bezos sucks and underpays his workers and treats them terribly, so maybe there's a reason why everything on that site is so cheap. On the other hand, at this store, you get to take a look at the book, especially if it's a different edition (some with sprayed edges, variant covers, or signed by the author), which offers a better, more personable experience at the end of the day. Besides, people complain about how there are no third spaces for people to go to anymore. The place has an array of beverages to purchase as well as seating where you can just settle down with whatever you've purchased and just read. I've also stumbled upon a few book clubs through the store hosting some of them, and met authors through the store's hosted events. This is the kind of business we need more of in Medina: community-minded, passionate, personable, and fun.

Not only do they have a friendly staff and a huge selection of movies, books, music, etc. They have wonderful programs for children and adults. The children programs were awesome and available for all different ages. They also had special events like hatching chicken eggs and summer programs. I have moved away from Ashland but when I go home to visit I still like to visit Ashland PL. It is a beautiful building with a great variety of books, movies and resources for everyone. The location is absolutely adorable, sitting right on top of the hill, and it makes visiting feel like such a pleasant little outing. I love visiting libraries, and this one is just perfect.
