We were pleasantly surprised with the large space and inventory. I would agree that somethings may have been overpriced while others seemed like a bargain. Habitat Restore is such a great place in general and I was really happy with this location. Let's start with the parking lot. Although it is a bit tight, the traffic all goes in one direction which is super helpful and the entrance to the building is stairs but there's also a ramp going in, which makes this place handicap accessible and easy to bring home rolling or heavy things from the store. Upon entering the store, I noticed that there are huge signs hanging from the ceiling telling you where things are located which made navigating through the warehouse easy peasy. I was on a mission and immediately found what I was looking for. I talked with a staff member who was friendly and was delighted as two customers who happened to be leaving at the same time as I was, helped me bring my stuff to the car. Bonus! I will be visiting here regularly until I find a dresser for my husband and a lounge chair that I love for our spacious living room. Great place.

Their selection of wood is nearly non-existent unless you want garbage trim. However, they definitely have a better selection of used tools than other Restore stores. Their selection of knickknacks is also probably the best and it's actually organized well. It's definitely worth a trip for things other than wood. But for wood? Forget about it! They also have some furniture or whatever. Isn't furniture so boring?

A wonderful store that supports quality nonprofits…read more The store is always well maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The furniture section is set up beautifully --it looks look a furniture showroom. The furniture quality is excellent and well priced. Instead of paying $800- 1000 for a new, fake wood, cheaply made kitchen/dining room table set with chairs, you pay a fraction of that price for real quality wood furniture. They also have couches, chairs, tables, lamps, cabinets and desks. I purchased a quality kitchen table with two leaves. Ellen helped me remove the leaves so I could see how the table worked and see the differences in size with and without each of the leaves. She answered my questions and helped me set up delivery. She was super helpful--thank you Ellen. The table arrived the following Monday. The two gentleman who delivered it were great (a big thank you to them). I've been to the store on several occasions and there are always new items coming into the store. They have a nice selection of used hard and softback books (adult, teen and children), kitchen utensils, brand name dishware and dish sets (Lennox), clothing (including shoes, hats, and coats), jewelry, framed artwork, holiday decorations, figurines, games and toys, and much more. In addition to the table, I've purchased several bracelets, an outdoor garden statue (I had seen it before on Amazon but the Amazon price was too high for me), books, and a dog trinket box. They have extensive donation hours and it's very easy to do. Drive up to the east (right) side of the building at the "drop off" sign and hand your bags to the friendly staff. They can provide you with a receipt for your donation. Be sure to check out their cool ticket collection! You can see a tidy display of game-day stubs from Cleveland sporting events going back 25 years. People forget them in their pockets and know you know where they wind up.

I organized a children's book drive at work in honor of Dolly Parton's birthday. I asked a friend…read morewho works in publishing and with local charities where the best place to donate books would be and Cleveland Kid's Book Bank was her top suggestion. CKBB has distributed over 4.8 million books to children in the area since 2016. While they do have a small team of employees they also have a lot of volunteers. I personally am very excited to volunteer here in the future. They have about 20 drop box locations in addition to their main location where the books are housed. I dropped off our donation of 425 books and they let me come inside and take a little look around and get a picture. They do have specific hours for drop off but if you call when you get there they will come out and take your donation.

The people running it were friendly and passionate about helping the kids. I would suggest donating money, time or children's books to this place if you can! They are located in a Weat house building downtown and offer evening volunteering opportunities. Go check out their website and help some kids out this winter!
