BEWARE: This guy, Edras, plays a lot of games. He comes and looks at the job and throws an estimate at you but refuses to put it in writing. He uses vague language as to what exactly the scope of his work will cover. I tried multiple times, but failed to get him to spell out whether his price included what I had asked him to do. He throws in a "base price" at you for "what HE wants to do" but not what YOU asked him to do; then he wants to charge you extra for this and extra for that. Don't waste your time. Tree service companies are dime a dozen and there's no need to deal with unethical people. read more

Medina tree service were extremely responsive and quick to the job. We had part of a tree fall down in both our and our neighbor's backyard after a bad storm while we were out of town. My husband called Medina Tree Service to request aquote to remove the tree and they came either that day or the next day to take a look at it. They quickly got back to us and gave us the quote and said they could take care of it the next day. We okayed it, so they removed the tree and a large branch from our neighbor's yard, and we came home the next week to a clean yard! The company was very easy to work with and very flexible to receive the check payment afterwards since they took care of everything while we were in another state. read more

Called Medina to remove a large, dead tree covered in ivy that had fallen in very tight quarters in my backyard (and to remove the remaining part of the same tree)...The tree was 60 or so feet tall, and as I said, not easily accessible... I highly recommend these folks and wouldn't think twice about using them again for tree pruning or removal. Edras and his team at Medina Tree Services took down a mature Norway Maple adjacent to our home. Despite lots of landscaping in the way, making it extra difficult, they worked around the shrubs and left everything intact and super clean. Had 2 very large trees removed today by Medina Tree Service. They came on the day scheduled, at the time scheduled, and did exactly the job they quoted for the price they quoted. They were a group of maybe 6 men, working in 90 deg heat, (without breaks best I can tell), and still took the time to clean up the property when they were done (the stumps are the only remaining clue to their work - not a stray wood chip anywhere). We provided cold water in a cooler but I believe they had all brought their own. I offered to go buy sandwiches for lunch but no one accepted. I believe their price is better than most. I would not hesitate to recommend this company for your tree work. We have them coming back for a smaller job in a couple weeks. read more

Great company. We just had 3 trees and stumps removed with trimming of others. Edras came right over after my call for an estimate, got right back to us with his quote, even tho he was leaving for vacation in a few days. The price was very competitive. We removed 2 large trees (both of which were rotting) and one smaller maple that didn't look healthy. I could tell that Edras appreciated trees and was not into taking down trees for more work. He was very knowledgeable and had a fabulous crew that worked together seamlessly. They really know what they are doing. These guys were incredible for us today! We were in a bind as we are new home owners and last week we had a snow storm with the snow so dense that it caused a tree to fall and almost hit our house. We then learned that we have another storm coming tomorrow and desperately needed to have someone come and remove or at least prune our tree in the front of our house that is surrounded by power lines. Edras had his crew here so fast for a last minute quick job to trim this dangerous tree down right before the storm. Granted they need to come back and finish the rest of the tree but they at least took care of us very last minute by removing most of the tree so our power lines are safe! read more

When Edras arrived at my house to look at the very large tree half of which had fallen on my house he quickly pointed out that the remaining half was also in danger of falling. 30 minutes later his large crew , trucks and equipment were on site, cutting down the remainder of the tree and cleaning up. Like a previous reviewer, the service from this company was so good I felt compelled to write a review. We had a very large Maple tree growing too close to our home, as well as several neighboring trees that needed to be trimmed. They came the day I called to give a quote and provided the best quote we received. They arrived at our home on the agreed date, removed the tree, and trimmed all the trees quickly and efficiently. They worked in tight spaces amid phone and electrical wires without any problem. They were excellent, and left the yard as clean as when they arrived. I was so pleased with this company that I felt compelled to write a review. I had a 70-80' pine tree in my yard in Waltham and the tree was beyond dead. The tree was about 30 feet behind the house, and within 10 feet of my fence and 15 feet of my shed. I called Medina Tree Service and explained my situation. They visited the property within a day and gave me a quote. When I told them I was worried about the fence and the shed, as well as my sprinkler system, they were not worried and they also showed me proof of insurance just in case. A crew of about 5 people showed up at 7:15am and they worked hard until about 3pm removing the tree. When they were done you would never have known that a tree had been there. The stump had been ground and the yard was more clean than when they showed up. I have used other tree services in the past as I have removed trees during various landscaping projects, and I will continue to use Medina Tree Service in the future. -Tim, Waltham read more
