Outstanding! Mollie was a pleasure to utilize to capture once in a lifetime memories in Tuscany!…read moreFrom the early planning stages to the final pictures, Mollie was super easy to communicate with, which help even more in putting us at ease as an American we could converse without any barriers. This helped put us at ease. Mollie was also super flexible in where the photoshoots took place and researched what we were looking for to help find the perfect locations, near our accommodations. The locations she chose were spot on for what we wanted and really resulted in exactly the pictures we wanted to immortalize our honeymoon. Mollie has a great sense for capturing the right lighting conditions, background, foreground and looks. We cannot thank her enough for capturing our photos that will ensure these moments last a lifetime!

We knew that we were taking a risk choosing someone that we didn't know to take photos of our family. But, luckily, we are very pleased that everything worked out better than we could have imagined. Mollie has an easiness about her that makes the painful job of posing for pictures - just a little bit more tolerable. She was so great with our kids & had wonderful ideas for location, based on what I asked for during our correspondence via e-mail. She was very prompt with her responses via e-mail and was punctual, organized, funny, & efficient during our photo session. But, it is the photos that we received that really tell the story of her amazing ability to take beautiful photos using only natural lighting. How she captured the beautiful light of Firenze... I will never know. I am so glad that we found her and that we now have a lifelong treasured memento to remind us of our fabulous time in Italy.

Cymon Taylor - Tuscany Photography Workshops

I've only done a couple workshops before, so I wasn't sure what to expect -- but I wanted to seriously improve how I see light and build stronger compositions at iconic locations. Cymon's differentiator is that he teaches you how to think before you shoot. He helped me evaluate the scene, read what the light was doing, and then build the right composition with intent -- not guesswork. I shot a Nikon Z9 primarily with a 200-500 and he still coached in a way that was totally practical for my gear and shooting style. A moment that really stood out was sunrise at the classic Belvedere farmhouse. Cymon helped me understand the light and composition decisions first, then showed me how to apply graduated filters to manage the sunrise dynamic range and keep the image balanced. That combination -- seeing the shot, then executing it -- was a game-changer. He also knows Val d'Orcia exceptionally well: where to go, the best angles, and how to time locations even when they get crowded. And despite having his own gear set up to demonstrate technique, he wasn't chasing his own portfolio -- his focus stayed on us and maximizing our learning. He also includes a post-production consultation, which adds real value. The only "improvement" I can offer is that I wish I had booked more days. I'm returning to Val d'Orcia this fall, and I'm already making plans to spend more than one day with Cymon. If you want a true photography course/workshop in Tuscany (not just a guided photo walk), book with Cymon.

Every year, I lead small groups and individuals on carefully planned tours to some of the most beautiful locations in the Val d'Orcia. During the peak weeks of spring and autumn, I offer three, four, or five-day landscape photo workshop packages on weekdays. For those who prefer individual tuition, I am available all year except August. My goal is to give you every opportunity to take great photos while refining your technique with expert field instruction and post-processing sessions that help you get the most out of your images. This is accomplished using extensive knowledge of these iconic locations.
