Just got to know Megabox and I must say that everything is slightly cheaper than, for example, the…read moresupermarkets Guanabara and Extra. Another advantage is that you'll find products that you normally only find in Zona Sul. The disadvantages are that the employees are just as slow as in other supermarkets (in average they scan one product per minute) and that you can't pay with international Visa or MasterCard. So, if you are not in a hurry and just prepare yourself by bringing cash, Megabox is the best supermarket to go in Zona Norte. Furthermore, its location at Avenida Brasil is quite convenient.

After a compliment, she walked me in the direction of Via Mia (the store where she bought the bag). Upon entry, I was enamored with the colorful shoes (if you're a fan of Camper, you'll really like their varied selection of similarly styled sneaks, flats and heels). On the walls, decently priced bags of all sizes hung in their colorful display. While I left empty-handed, my co-shopper and I tried on a few things. Definitely worth visiting if you're searching for a day/night purse and a sweet pair of kicks.

It offers a gorgeous panoramic of, of course, Botafogo beach and Pao de açúcar. Going at dusk is an awesome time to see the sky changing colors. There's also plenty to do in the mall with the food court and movie theatre on the top floor. There's also a good variety of stores. Some of your more typical stores like Leader and other fancier like Uncle K. There's also a few non-chain stores that offer some more unique options for gifts and the like. It's convenient to the bus lines and not too far from the metro or other restaurants.
