I found her recommendations extremely helpful and their website easy to navigate and use for ideas for my own elopement. I worked with Amy as my photographer and she was great giving direction and was so helpful since we didn't have guest and needed assistance with my veil and hair etc. When we got our picture's we were completely blown away with her talent! We also had Jenny doing our video and Bryan flying the drone. They were both so personable and helpful with all of the props we brought and had to hike up the mountain with. They helped make our day so special and gave us direction and made us feel as if we were making the best wedding video ever - it was a great feeling! Michael who married with us also helped carry stuff up with us and was so flexible with my custom ceremony request. He even surprised me with a poem my mom sent him to read since she wasn't present. Elope Outdoors is definitely the way to go! We wouldn't change a thing about our wedding! Meghan is so flexible and helped make our day perfect, and we think she takes some of the best pictures we've ever seen! We had started planning a wedding with family and friends, but decided after planning it was not for us. I'm so glad we found the perfect elopement business to help us make our day perfect. Our hike was fun and not too difficult at all. It was easy enough that we could take our 3 year old daughter. She had a great time. (Side note: Meghan and Mike are great with kids!!!) My wife and I chose Elope Outdoors for our recent wedding and we couldn't be happier. Meghan was an absolute pleasure to work with planning the ceremony, she made the whole process easy and stress free. We chose Black Balsam Knob based on some photos we had seen on the site, but when we arrived in Asheville a few days before the ceremony the forecast was calling for rain, and lots of it. Stubbornly, we decided to give it a go anyway, and thanks to Amy (photographer) and Michael (officiant) we're glad we did. Amy did an amazing job, we couldn't believe how beautifully the pictures turned out despite the rain. She was so patient and did everything she could to get us the best shots possible. My husband and I chose Elope Outdoors and we do NOT regret it one bit! We originally planned to have a big wedding but completely decided against it. We are so happy we did not! Meghan was lovely to work with... from communicating every little detail of our special day to her optimism to her BEAUTIFUL photography skills. The day before our elopement we were buried in a foot of snow.. I was very worried(actually freaking out that I would not be able to marry my best friend) about the venue of our elopement but Meghan always assured me not to worry. My husband and I really wanted a mountaintop wedding with minimal stress. Meghan not only did a fantastic job helping us pick a location, but she coordinated everything for us - from hiring the officiant, bringing champagne up the mountain, helping family members make the hike, and working with an amazing videographer. I sent Meghan photos of what I wanted my flowers to look like from Pinterest, and she couldn't have had the florist do a more amazing job. I asked all my guests (6) to not use cell phones during the ceremony, and Meghan captured everyone's emotion, not to mention that my photos turned out perfect. She was timely in responding to questions, and is an incredible photographer. Our dream elopement came true! Meghan and her team are amazing. We picked a date a little over 2 weeks out, and that's about all we had to worry about. Meghan helped us to easily pick a gorgeous, breathtaking location. On the day of our wedding there were high chances of rain. The morning of, Meghan offered solutions to the rain (that were indoors and honestly beautiful), but we wanted our outdoor, mountain top wedding. Luckily, the rain held off. Our officiant, Michael, was wonderful and easy to communicate with. The ceremony was exactly what we pictured and represented us so well. Amy, our photographer, took BEAUTIFUL pictures! Just what we had hoped for - especially since we wanted our crazy puppy to join us ;). We would recommend this company to anyone who wants to elope and not worry about a thing. My husband and I were choosy about who we decided to go with for pictures, but we felt instant positivity from Meghan upon doing a Skype call with her. She listened to us and was so sweet and understanding of our unconventional wedding wish list, which included a location in the middle of a river. Meghan didn't hesitate to suggest a location (which ended up being PERFECT!) and the photos turned out much better than we could have imagined. We did have to go through two officiants before Meghan suggested a woman who fit us perfectly. However, Meghan made everything so easy and stress-free throughout the entire process. Our project included an energetic 5-year old, hot chocolate, and at least 3 different locations, but Meghan's attentive (but laid-back) demeanor made our hectic family photo shoot look like a walk in the park! My wife and I nervously awaited the results, thinking we'd be happy if we got a half-dozen good shots. When we received our package, we were floored by what we saw; lighting, composition, and poses were masterfully utilized to provide us with a variety of moods. We have have sat through four different portrait shoots since the birth of our daughter and, while this was arguably the most challenging due to our daughter's high energy, this was without a doubt the best set of photos we've gotten. Amazing experience with Meghan in Asheville. We were celebrating our 20th Anniversary in Asheville and we just fell in love with her website, hoping that maybe we would get one or two shots that we could mount on the wall. Her eye is truly amazing. We have literally 70 pictures we could mount on the wall at least. I'll have to make a collage!
