Meijer, what good is a 2 for $4 Sale on Zero sugar Snapple Peach tea, if every store we have checked between Toledo and Cleveland OH is "OUT OF STOCK!!!!!!!!" And you don't do RAINCHECKS. Your store can't seriously make customers believe that you're all about customer service when you're doing these types of things. You treat your employees like SLAVES. You theat customers like we are stupid. You apparently ONLY care about how much your profit margins are. I went to grab a coffee maker as our coffee maker stopped working this morning. After doing a quick search Meijer indicated Keurig K-Express were on sale for 69.99 so I drove all the way to Meijer Maumee, about 15 minutes away. They were priced at 109.00 on the shelf and I asked for a price match. The large stature gentleman with a beard standing behind the checkout immediately told the cashier and me that he doesn't care what the website says, we don't price match, not even if it's our own web price online. He was a bit aggressive, so I took my business somewhere else. He then says I will take 10 dollars off. No thank you, it's cheaper on Amazon but I didn't want to wait. Waste of gas and time. I guess I will call him next time we go shopping and ask him to check the price on items I plan on shopping for before I head there. Make sure he can confirm the price advertised matches the price marked at the store. It's experiences like this and attitudes like he put off that make people want to shop online rather than retail stores. If you don't want to deal with someone asking a simple question, find another job. This guy was the manager, great employee role model to your employees. read more

For the past month I've walked into this national chain and seen Detroit Tiger's shirts worn by not just one, but at last count at least 10 employees. May I remind you of what state you're in? Take them off, wear company shirts or other attire that doesn't promote one team over another. This is ridiculous. If people love Detroit so much, my suggestion would be to move to that city. read more

Staff is always friendly, and helpful. Shelves are usually stocked and able to find what I am looking for 95% of the time. Seems they could always use an extra register open. Seems they have a hard time keeping energy drinks stocked (Rock Stars) especially when on sale. read more

1. At Meijers request, called 3 times and placed on hold 15+ mins no answer. 2. Despite repeated requests, Meijer doesnt submit prescriptions to my insurance provider until I ask in person. 3. Meijer sends texts advising prescription is ready but they do not identify the prescription drug or the cost. 4. As a recovering heart surgery patient I'm not to be exposed to extreme temps. Ive had to make multiple trips during heat wave to obtain correct prescriptions. read more

I like Meijer better than their competitors. Only thing is the ease to find items your looking for and if anything is on sales or a coupon is running that week, you better get there the first day or they are out of it. It generally a clean establishment and I get through the checkout lines quicker here than other places. I have a grocery store closer to my home, but they are pricy compared to Meijer. I was racially profiled by the people at the door. I've been using this store for 3 years and I am familiar with a lot of their staffs but recently I was stopped at the door to search my groceries if something was missing which is fine but the old lady keep making remarks about how they come in here and forget to scan stuffs and she kept on saying they come in to take things. I asked who are they I think she meant black people. I was upset and I was already tired of all the racist remarks she keep Making and she acted like something was missing when nothing was in fact missing. Other customers who have more groceries where not never searched and profiled. They only say "welcome to meijers to white people. I go here often and I hope someone reads this and take note. On Monday, March 8 I had a pickup order. I got home later in the day and discovered I had 4 items I did not chose. I got large eggs instead of jumbo, I got 20 gal trash bags when I had asked for 30 gal, I got 2 bags of Hershey Chocolate Easter eggs when I asked for 2 bags of M&M almond eggs, I asked for lime Greek yogurt and got creme brûlée. It was not indicated that these were substituted items. When I called to complain the Pick Dept employee was clueless and said it couldn't be the pickets error. I told him I was disappointed in their employees and who else was to blame. This is the last time I use this service. read more

The best customer service! Dawn in bedding dept. Great customer service, like I had today, is rare. I had been looking at 2 Meijer locations for beanbag refill beans. Both locations said they had some in the store. I saw an employee, Dawn, stocking pillows and asked her about it. She went above and beyond asking in the stock room and having someone dig for them. She even came out and told me she hadn't forgotten about me, she explained that they had to (dig or get them with a forklift) I can't remember. She was so nice! read more

I must say I'm so disappointed. We moved to Maumee and this store is now the closest Meijer's.....I will drive the extra miles for my Sylvania store. These are some of the most unfriendly, untidy and unorganized associates I have come across. I know a store remodel can make things disheveled, but this is just ridiculous. No pride in their work. A week ago, my puppy started having terrible seizures. The veterinarian prescribed an anticonvulsant called Levetiracetam to stop the seizures. The Dr said a website called "Good Rx" will show where to buy the medicine most affordably. She went to her computer to look it up & saw the Meijer Pharmacy offers it for $13 and some-odd cents. She then printed out the coupon & gave it to us along with the script for the medicine. I then handed these to the Meijer pharmacist. Almost 45 minutes later, they finally called me to the counter, handed me one month's supply of the pills & charged me $189! When I asked "what about the coupon? How can this be so expensive when I had a coupon?!?" They answered "Oh, we don't honor coupons for veterinary medicine- only for people." I think to deny somebody affordable prices for any palliative medicine because they *can* is absolutely unconscionable. The owners made a conscious decision to support their shareholders over their customer base so they can profit at our expense. I'm forced to spend more money on one prescription then my monthly food bill so you can laugh all the way to the bank? I will never go back to Meijer. I don't think they'll miss me much anyway. read more

Welcome to Meijer 2.0, a real failure if there ever was! Although Meijer would like us to celebrate the upgrades they have to offer, not every upgrade is a good thing! Long after the construction is over, the store is still a mess and hard to negotiate. Clearance stock just rolled into a corner, while new new stock is left in the isles. Meijer 2.0 My Foot! 2.0 in my opinion would be five stars, and you can see how I rated the new Meijer. Now imagine yourself a senior, who has to use a cart and roll through each un-intelligently placed department, with their inconsistency placed, roley poley displays that wind up being all over the place. To the Meijer person who may be monitoring any Yelp postings. Your return policy states that general merchandise is good for return or exchange up to 90 days with receipt. I brought back a pair of work shoes that fell apart less than a month after purchase, and you were going to refuse to take them back. Guess again. I had purchased a box of wine at the meijers on central Ave because my son had an appt over on that side of town. When I took the box of wine home, my wife informed me that I had picked up the wrong type. Well, I went to return it at the meijers in Maumee and she said that I could not return it because it was state law. Well, come to find out that this is a meijers policy and NOT state law. Wine and beer can be returned; beer and wine are owned by the store so they can be returned. It is meijers policy not to follow this. The young blond lady gave me the hardest time because I just wanted to exchange it for a different type but same brand. So please know the state rules and don't be so brash and abrasive. For here on out though, I will not by wine again from meijers due to this experience. read more

I do most of my everyday and last minute shopping here. It is a solid Meijer's and is pretty clean and almost always orderly. They have a good selection of food and things of that nature. I told a cashier to let the bosses know that moving the pet department to the other side of the store was a mistake. Instead of responding appropriately with telling me she would let them know or apologizing with the inconvenience, she stated, "Oh, no, it's better. There is more room for more products." I was not looking for an arguement or her opinion. Her name is Gerry and this was at the Maumee store. Now after grocery shopping, I have to walk across to the other side of the store to get cat food and litter, then walk across to the other side again to the cash registers and exit. It is difficult for me to walk long distances with a hip and back issues. I really didn't care for her opinion. I think I will start doing my shopping at Kroger's down the street if customer opinions and comments get thrown off as unimportant. read more

Pharmacy doesn't listen or record customer calls or reqests. As st manager said I should find a different pharmacy after I complained about the poor service I had received after enrolling into the synchronized pharmacy. I was trying to sync with my social security income. No such critter. They keep adjusting the time to their schedule and not mine. I am now ban from their store after a year of complaining of this problem with no adjustments from them. They can not allow for 30 days to 31 days so what started out as the 15th of the month keeps going to the first of the month. They have no ability to count to 31. read more
