Meining Park is a beautiful getaway park from all the commotion city life has to offer. This enchanted park forest is located behind city hall and is nestled in the woods of Sandy. It has a great wooden play land that entertains all ages. Slides, swings, bridges and secret passage ways all connecting together for a maze of imagination. If your desiring more of a quiet time, this park offers wandering paths through the area of giant tress, little bridges and meandering streams. Picnic areas are also available in certain areas. I always go out of my way to go to this park when a stress filled day has taken it's toll. read more

This park is awesome for kids. Stopped by here on our drive through Sandy, looking for a picnic table. Not only did we find the picnic table here, but it was beside an enormous play structure that our toddler played on for a couple hours. We will definitely come back here again the next time we visit. read more

Remember, when we were kids and playgrounds had all sorts of ways they could hurt you? You know, hard cement, really tall things to jump off of and lots of wood just waiting to give you splinters? Those places we're awesome! Sadly most were destroyed by those that worry too much and replaced by plastic playground with giant tic tac toe boards! Boring! Survival of the fittest people! Fortunately, some of these old fashioned playgrounds do still exist! One of them is hidden away in Meinig Park and it's designed to bring out the inner child on you! The playground is a wood structure with bridges and passageways built for adventures! The rest of the park it pretty nice too! Wooded areas, nice walking paths, and picnic spots galore! Also home to the Sandy Mountain Festival! read more

We love Meinig Park. Grab some donuts at Joe's and snack in the park. Or, have a birthday party. Or, just go and play on the awesome play structure. It's this great little park right on highway 26 that is hidden in a forest of trees with a stream running through. Love it. The best part is that they have music and movies in the park int he summer. Another beautiful natural environment with a large wooden play structure, trails, 2 stages for music or plays. Movies in the park and music in the park every week during summer and on Sandy Mountain Festival weekend the park is loaded with food, booths for shopping homemade crafts and jewelry and music at different times during the 3 day event. Lots of fun. The park itself has a creek the kids and dogs love. Very little water trickling through during summer so it's fun and safe for the kids to play in. And Now Pokémon Stops are everywhere in the park. Fun for all read more

This was a great place for us to stop to give get the kids out of the car to stretch their legs. The playground is unique and great for creative explorative kids. The nearby woods and creek are really fun for walks. read more

We had our little guys 3rd birthday there and he loved. The park is beautiful, there are several covered area's that do not need to be reserved. They have power hookups, a place to bbq, a beautiful stream for kids to throw rocks into, a beautiful trail to walk on, and the best playground area! He loved it! It is nice and shaded by tall tree's with spurts of sunshine throughout. I recommend this place for afternoon fun or birthdays for your little ones. I absolutely adore this park! I live within walking distance and often hike over on dry days. I love to watch the children romp about, having fun being kids! They also have concerts in the park during the summer time, as well as movies in the park. Both events are well organized and entertaining. Last summer, I fried up enough chicken to pack in a pic nic basket and share with other concert goers. It was a HIT! I will definitely be doing this again come summer of 2016. read more
