I had several overgrown trees with limbs hanging over the house, so I Googled tree services with good reviews. Mel's Tree Service came up, so I called. Mel came out and met me at my property to give me a quote. We walked around the property and I explained what I wanted done on 5 or 6 very large trees, and asked his opinion on a few other things. Mel gave me a surprisingly reasonable quote, and said he could start in 2 days. Mel's crew and heavy equipment showed up in the morning and got right to it. These guys worked hard through the 90 degree humid day, and got the job done. Mel's crew were polite, and cleaned up all the debris. When they were done, Mel walked around the property with me to go over everything and make sure I was happy. I asked if he could cut down something that wasn't in the original job, and he quickly had his guys take it down. I was so happy to have someone actually show up, get the job done, and not try to nickel-and-dime on going a little extra. I realized Mel was a hard-working, honest tree guy, with very fair pricing, so I had him come back out and trim the jungle vines overgrowing on the side of my property. I contacted Mel through a reference. He came out. Looked at what I need to be done. I had three trees taken down around 70 to 80 ft high trees. Several trees trimmed up, dead limbs out limbs hanging over the house and other yards. I had bushes removed, stumps grind and some of the yard cleared. It took him 2 days to do what it should have. Probably taken any other company a week. They cleaned up very efficiently. The trees look great. I've had nothing but compliments since it has been done. The property had been neglected the trees. One was 100 ft tall. Trimmed up. Looks great. Would recommend to anyone needing tree work done. I had several estimates. These guys worked with me on the price, making necessary work affordable. They did a great job and left the yard in better shape than it was when they got here. I even had a pile of dirt in the yard that I had decided not to use in the way that I had intended. Came and gave an estimate right away and was able to come back to do the job within a couple of days. They worked around my work schedule so that I did not have to take time off. Very reasonable cost for what I considered a big job. Trimmed both trees and hauled everything away. Cleaned up everything after they were finished. I had an older tree with a forked base that was diagnosed with beetles and was decaying. it was an estimated seven stories high. Mel quoted faily as he has done several homes in the neighborhood already . He and his crew are amazing to watch -- unbelievable planning!? Mel and crew showed up punctually, worked quickly and expertly to remove three mature Leyland Cypress trees that were in close proximity to a fence, garage, and other trees and shrubs. This crew is absolutely top-notch! I had them over to my house this week for a second big job in just a few years.
