Can only speak to their retail service for firewood, but I can tell you before the winter storm where everyone was scrambling for everything, this crew was out there in the elements splitting and hauling wood to cars like crazy. Despite all the hard work, they were so personable and kind, the price on a full cart load of wood wasn't bad either, though I am sure you'd get a better value on a bulk delivery. I used God's way to cut down some large trees hanging over my roof. The team was at my house on time, confirmed with me the trees to be cut per our contract and they worked with expert precision. They were respectful of my and the neighbors' property, hauling all debris away and even made sure no remnants were left on the street. I am extremely happy with the job they did taking down 3 of our trees. The entire team is very professional, very friendly and EXPERTS at what they do. This is the company to go to if you want trees removed quickly and safely ! Having a company with all the right equipment makes all the difference ! Gods way came out removed trees however in the process removed and damaged my chain link fence. They promised to fix it however after over 6 months of trying to get them to come out, we had given up. I paid 10k for the removal. Shame on them. Honestly, pretty shitty to charge that much and not fix what you broke in the process. read more

I contacted 4 tree service contractors for a quote on removing a tree from my backyard. One failed to show, one was very late, two, including God's Way was right on time. Of the 3 proposals God's Way was most reasonable and they were available the next day. After receiving their certificate of insurance I gave them the go-ahead. They showed up at exactly the time they said they would with all equipment and a full crew. The tree was down within a half hour and even though a major piece of equipment had issues, they had it repaired within a few hours and had the entire tree and debris removed and cleaned up as agreed to. I so wanted to give this company 5 stars but instead I floated between 3 and 4 and as you can see, I settled on 4. I wish Yelp would allow us to give half stars so I could more adequately give what I felt was a true rank. Let me explain the situation and criteria. I recently bought a piece of property that adjoins my current land and it was overgrown with trees and brush. It also had a tree that was cut down by the previous owner, cut into pieces and left to rot. My request was clear and simple. I wanted it completely cleared and level and when they left I wanted to be able to drive my lawn mower from my current property straight on to the new property. Once completed, I wanted 2 weeping willows planted. Anyway, let me start off by saying that the owner (John Milton) seems to be an awesome individual and is very polite and professional. However, he stays so busy that he slacks on returning calls and text in a reasonable time period. From the very first encounter with John I was impressed. He knows the business and works very hard to keep his business rolling. His bids are more than fair and he is willing to give a discount if you point him to more business. John was great throughout the job. His team that was doing work for me (he has several teams) were all super nice but not all have the same work ethic as myself or Mr. Milton. A job that I thought would take several days, John said they could do in one. The team worked that day from about 9am to 9:30pm and unfortunately still didn't finish to my standard although they did a lot more than I expected. I have attached some before and after pictures from about 90% of the job being completed. The only thing that was left after that night was basic cleanup, leveling, and taking up some roots and vines. My request from the very beginning as I stated before, was that I wanted to drive my mower straight from our lot to other when it they were done. Now, I could do this the way it was left but not without tearing up my mower. This is where it begins to go down hill. After several attempts to reach John, I finally have a conversation with him on what needed to done to complete the project. A few days later, 2-3 guys came over, grinded some left over stumps, tried to grade if you will, and pick up some rocks, sticks, and left over debris. By the time I returned home from work they were gone and I still wasn't completely satisfied. I spoke to John the next day and he came over and we did a walk through so I could show and explain what I expected. He said, "ok, I'll have 2 or three guys come tomorrow and do what you ask". Two days later, 1 guy shows up and does a poor representation of what he thinks will get by. Nevertheless, I take a day off from work the following week and spend 8 hours in the yard completing what I had asked them to do several times. Since then, I have tried to get a load of fill in dirt from John to help level one area of the yard that puddles water when it rains but to no avail so I will have to make other plans for that. As for the trees, John did come through with them and did a fantastic job. Overall, my property is about 98% the way I want it and I couldn't be happier. Out of a scale to 100, I have to give God's Way Landscaping a 75-80 which is why I ranked them 4 stars. I would definitely use them again without question but I would be more clear of my expectations in the areas that I feel they need improvement. read more

Only gave 1 star because you can't give zero. Hired back on 9/6/2O23 and was scheduled for 10/4/20323. They rescheduled on 10/3/2023 and said new date 11/8/2023. Rescheduled again on 11/8/2023 and said new date was 11/29/2023. Part of the tree finally fell and damaged my fence, so hired someone else. read more

It sounds like God's Way Tree Service come through for quotes and cutting, pruning and removing trees but what happens to the logs when they take them away from your house? God's Way is signed up with a service called chip drop. They pay chip drop to give them names of people who would like bark chips dropped at their place. God's Way called us in January to let us know they were on the way with bark chips. You can see in the pictures the massive logs they came and dumped before we could even tell them to stop. Since January, between weeks of business travel I am out there with a chain saw, not nearly large enough for these massive pecan logs some of which are 5 ft in diameter trying to cut them into a movable size. Hasn't been very successful. We have called God's Way and have asked them to come take the logs away. They have not responded to 3 calls. By the way, the bark chips they said they were bringing in January never showed up. Without heavy equipment to move them and no answer from God's Way I have resorted to burning them where they dropped them which is to close to some of our trees which are being ruined in the process. I contacted them and they rescheduled for the next day, a Sunday, at "my convenience". They never showed up or called that time either. Friendly on the phone, but no tree service! I had GWL come to my property and cut down a 50 feet or so pine tree yesterday along with cutting and removing 30 smaller trees. Additionally they took down a basketball goal and removed a very deeply set concrete foundation. What a job THAT was!!! John's crew were super industrious and professional. From a recent severe storm, I was left with a 90' oak tree hovering over my home like the sword of Damocles. It's trunk split, it leaned into a small maple, a 10th of it's size, nevertheless, it halted the fall. They completely butchered my river birch tree and were supposed to fertilize some of my other trees. They didn't have the correct fertilizer and told me they would be back the next day. They didn't return and when I spoke to the owner, he said he would personally come out that evening and fertilize my trees. He didn't return either.
