This grocery store is full of surprises. The steak selection looked amazing. We bought 5 or 6 different fresh desserts to share, and all were fabulous. The selection was incredible. This place is great a small little supermarket nestle in to a strip mall on the beach side of Melbourne. Lots of varieties of different things for all of your cooking needs. Also located inside the supermarket is a pizza place, which is pretty delicious. They have tables and chairs outside that you can sit and eat your pizza. Drink a delicious cold beverage from the cooler or enjoy some yummy desserts that they have prepared. A great place to stop at after you've left the beach. I have all types of different cold salads. Lots of raw meat to choose from. And plenty of other delicious things to choose from. The staff were nice lots of smiling faces. I never thought I could be so impressed and pleasantly surprised by a supermarket, but this place did it. From the outdoor seating surrounded by lush tropical plants to the massive bakery case in the back by the deli and the coffee shop up front with a million donut options to the large beer selection in the fridge section. I wanted everything, but we only left with some beach snacks and a case of seltzers. Our cashier at checkout was friendly and helpful when we asked a few questions about the location of certain grocery items we were looking for. They also have a fully stocked market and liquor store that completely substitutes a publix if you want to support local. Local market with exceptional homemade items. Get there early in the morning as they sell out of many items before noon. The Italian gentlemen working at the deli go out of their way to help and remember what the regulars order. They have quite an extensive bakery with homemade cakes and cookies. It's hard to decide because everything looks so good. They have a nice beer and wine selection. This is a great market! It has everything and then some. It's International and has unique groceries, a bakery, a meat dept, all types of frozen foods. Fresh produce, beer and wine galore. Prepared salads, olives...humongous pizzas that looked delicious. A foodies paradise. I bought a bit of this and that. Whenever I go to Melbourne I have this market at the top of my list of places I have to go. I must get some of their pizza. By far the best pizza I've below the Pennsylvania border. Their falafel is the best I've had anywhere!! I bring back a minimum of 20 pieces when I head home. It's so good it's good at room temperature!! Yup that good! Almost every salad that they sell is a perfect side to whatever you're having. I did have a cucumber tomato feta salad that needed some spices as it was a bit bland. And then there is the dessert case and more. Cheesecakes that tower and a variety of cookies and muffins and baklava. There's a huge selection of wine and kombucha!! And a lot of other market items. And if you get there before it closes there is a counter that you can sit and get a cup of tea or a health shot. You should truly take my advice and stop there and grab a couple of slices of pizza and some falafel and walk to the beach!! read more

Wow, what a great market! SCW and I stopped in during a recent short getaway to Melbourne. The Yelp reviews were positive and we figured we'd give it a shot. I'm sure glad we did. The selection of wines was quite impressive. They have the usual mass produced wines but they also have a extensive variety of the smaller quality wines as well. We spent a bit of time going through the wine aisles and bought quite a few bottles to try. The aisles are laid out so the first is US produced wines, then imported wines with flags on the shelves to help you locate specific countries. The selection was quite impressive. We found several wines we haven't seen in any of the big box stores around. The deli area is quite busy and for good reason. They have a selection of pizzas to go which you can get by the slice or whole pie. The had NY Cheese, a veggie, various meat pizzas and some stuffed pizzas as well as pin wheels. They warm them up for you if you'd like or just take and go. We got a white pizza slice and NY pizza slice and both were incredible. Very flavorful and the crust was outstanding. We also got some orzo salad and felafel from the deli. Both were very good. They have a bakery which has incredible looking deserts and breads. We didn't try anything from the bakery this time.....but I'm sure we will. The sauce selection is quite good with many flavor combinations I haven't seen before. You can get pretty much anything you'd need here. Grocery items, craft beer (quite the extensive selection as well) household items, treats and more. The employees are helpful and kind. Checkout was quick. I highly recommend Melbourne Beach Supermarket. The prices can be a little higher for some things, but certainly not everything. I'll be back. read more

A very nice, friendly, hometown grocery store near the beach This store is right off the north side of Ocean Avenue and just to the west of Ocean park in Melbourne Beach. I have driven by this on drives up and down A1A and this was the first time I have ever stopped in to shop. It is one of the anchor stores in a strip center along the road. It shares a parking lot with all the stores and there is additional parking along the side. It is a grocery store with a deli, an ice cream shop, and a pizza restaurant all rolled into one place. There are tables and plants along the front of the store. The store had a good selection of various items. The deli had great sides. I chose the macaroni and Loaded Potato salad. Each was about $5 for a pound and they were delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was clean. I noticed the pizza restaurant next to the deli while I was visiting and plan to return to try it out. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I plan to return in the future to try the Ice cream store and the pizza store. read more

Stopped in here to pick up a few essentials and discovered the Grounded Coffee Bar at the front of the store. Returned this morning for a cappuccino... delicious and prepared perfectly! I love trying local coffee shops and this was a great find. Happy to have found a coffee shop walkable to our house. Also purchased a few items from the beach market. What a fantastic grocery store. Stopped in while on vacation. Found a Turkish coffee pot with coffee for a gift. A man working in the bakery asked us if we knew how to make Turkish coffee - he was from Istanbul! Gave us a wonderful lesson on Turkish coffee. It was a joy to talk with him. If you're looking for dessert in the Melbourne area, the Melbourne Beach Supermarket has been a new obsession and it far exceeds any other bakery with this level of variety and consistency we've tried before. We prefer it over our Orlando favs which is getting dangerous. We are trying it all! But they always have some new/different things to try each time. We have had a lot but our favorites have been: - Vesuvius cake - Coconut bomb cake - lemon berry mascarpone cake - the salted caramel cookie - anything with the word skyscraper We will be back for more this weekend. Been coming here ten years. Produce section is small but very well run. It puts the rest of the store to shame. The deli and bakery are ok, big selection but not the freshest. The really gross part is when the one cashier feels compelled to police the deli/bakery staff and open the styrofoam boxes (and put her dirty fingers in your food) just to verify the prices written on the boxes are correct. Space is tight, priced higher but it's convenience and selection make up for it, quality of product is top notch. This was right down the road from my cousins house so we came here several times, I wouldn't stop here to get staples but other than that it's right on the money. It has pretty much Everything you could ever need, including an extensive wine, beer, alcoholic refreshment selection -and great pricing ...as well as a deli with quality cold cut/cheese and salad, hummus, olives, etc options, they make pizzas and these amazing little pepperoni pinwheels...a bakery with fresh goodies including 2-3 types of baklava!! A robust meat section with so many options and cuts and sales! Then the grocery aisles are full of treasures...need anchovies, tahini, pasta, all kinds of canned tomatoes-they've got it!...just lots of unique cool stuff that meets all my needs for cooking my fav Italian and Greek dishes. They have chicken salad tuna salad bean salad lots of wonderful choices in the deli. They have fresh pizzas the barbecue chicken is my favorite. The best soft drink selection and I could say without hesitation in Florida. The produce area is always well stocked and clean with nice produce.
