Although at the time the scores were not a reflection of much, the Melbourne boys certainly put up a good flight, needless to say they had Heart. Its was also evident they also had a significant number of supporters in the crowd which was surprising given their very recent formation. The team was established in 2009 inspired by the needs of broader community who are passionate about all things soccer past and present. The other fabulous thing about this club is that their home is the newly re-stuctured AAMI Park, which is a great venue for the club, and looks amazing when lit up at night. The are fast becoming recognized as Melbourne's signature football club and give their strong commitment to the game and fans they are sure to be the next best thing to come out of Melbourne.
