Unfortunately, this is not all that a business professional is rated on. I kind of thought from the beginning that Erica was a bit unprofessional. I tried to put that out of my mind because she was very cost effective and her photos were stunning. Every contact I had with her, it just seemed like she didn't have her stuff together. Our engagement session was pretty good. Not many complaints about that. The real problems started at the wedding. While me and my bridesmaids were getting ready, she asked my maid of honor when she was due. My MOH is not pregnant. Everyone (women especially!!) should know that you NEVER EVER EVER ask a woman if she is pregnant. She almost made my MOH cry. the last thing I needed on this stressful day was to comfort my MOH. I wish it had ended there. I tried to defend Erica sayin "Maybe you misheard her" but later in the day another friend who was there reiterated what was said, and there was no misunderstanding. We went outside to take pictures in the vineyards and it was extremely hot (for late october) and uncomfortable. We wanted to get these pictures over ASAP. We were also being swarmed by bees and two of our wedding party attendants are extremely allergic. We kept telling Erica that we wanted to move and she kept insisting we stay where we are because the pics were coming out great. We appreciate the great pictures but a bridesmaid in the hospital would've made for a bad day. After about 30-40 minutes of pictures my feet (i hate heels so much that I actually walked down the aisle barefoot) were absolutely screaming and I was getting very cranky. My makeup was running and my dress weighed 50 million pounds and I just wanted to take a break before the ceremony. Erica literally whined saying that she wanted to go take pictures in the wine caves. When I said "no, i really need to take a break" she practically stomped her feet and pouted saying "Oh come onnnnn, lets go take pictures in the wine caves!!" My husbands groomsman stepped in and said "no, when the bride says we're done, we're done." She backed off on the wine caves point, but continued to try to get more pictures. Later in the evening she came up to me whining because the Wedding coordinator said that vendors (photorapher, dj, etc.) usually ate after the wedding guests finished and she wanted to eat "NOW" and I needed to go tell the wedding coordinator that. It isn't so much her complaint that bothers me (it was a valid complaint), but I was the WRONG person to come to. There were 3 bridesmaids and a mother of the groom she could have discussed it with instead. The rest of the issues of the night didn't become apparent to me until months later. My boss told me that he was standing next to Erica while she was taking pictures of the grandmas and Erica turned to him and said "Gotta get the pictures of the grandmas! Who knows when they'll kick off" ...Seriously. My boss is one of the most honest people I've ever known in my life and he wouldn't lie about that. In the weeks leading up to me getting my photos erica e-mailed me to say that they were almost done and I can mail my final check to her address. I had paid her in full on the day of the wedding per her demands! If I had known I could've waited till I got my pictures I would've done that. Then she sent another mass e-mail to me and a bunch of other brides called "THE LAST CHECK" saying "I hope you liked your photos. Please send your next check to X" To which I responded AGAIN, I already paid you! Once I finally received my pictures, I asked her how she would handle my book. If she was going to choose the photos, if I was going to choose them, etc. And she said "Please choose 60 photos, put them on a disc, mail them back along with your final check" I PAID MY EFFING BILL ALREADY!! And no, I'm not gonna make another damn CD and mail it back to you and wait another 3 months for an apple iphoto book. I'll do it myself. I also realized while searching through my photos that no pictures were captured of my husband when he first saw me coming down the aisle. Very depressing. Technically I paid for a Trash the dress session (which she does fabulously) and the apple iphoto book but I am just done. I have 3 friends getting married in the near future and they all asked me for a recommendation of a good photographer. I have told them all that I really wish I could have recommended mine, but the unprofessionalism just isn't worth the hassle. It's such a shame because her photos are absolutely out of this world (that is what the 2 stars are for) Erica really needs to work on her professionalism. You can be friendly and cool and professional at the same time.

I have photos attached to this review for reference. After her email, I realized it was all a lie.. she obviously sent that out with out seeing our thread of conversation and accidentally. I replied to the email, but recieved no email in turn. I would just like to say, yes she is affordable, but not reliable. Do not waist your time. Find someone who is reliable and professional, even if you have to dish out more money!!! BEWARE!!

Sehee completely forgot about the shoot. I waited, called, and texted with no response, only for her to eventually call me back and casually say she had just woken up. When I asked what I should do, instead of taking accountability or trying to fix the situation, she asked to reschedule for the next day -- when it was supposed to rain, which is exactly why I carefully planned for today. At that point, I was already out time, money, and effort -- standing there fully ready with my freshly groomed dog -- for absolutely nothing. To make things worse, about an hour later she posted on Instagram that she was late to another photoshoot because she had partied too hard watching Coachella, but said it was "worth it." That is beyond disrespectful and completely unacceptable behavior for someone running a business. This was not just an inconvenience -- it was careless, unprofessional, and honestly insulting as a paying client. I expect a full refund immediately. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking here if reliability and basic professionalism matter to you.

We wanted a photographer who was very familiar with civil ceremonies at City Hall and was able to capture the day in a classic and genuine way to capture the joy of the big day. Katherine sent frequent emails with updates and tips on how to prep for the day and we had a preliminary call where we were able to make a schedule and plan out the day since we also had a wedding photoshoot afterwards in Golden Gate Park afterwards. During the day of, Katherine was on-time, flexible with when the other people in our group arrived, and guided us through the whole morning with when to check in, where to take photos, etc. She gave us some prompts of how to pose but overall she let us be natural and encouraged to be comfortable in front of the camera. The ceremony was captured beautifully by her and she took great group photos. We then went to Golden Gate Park, and she helped us take some cute coffeeshop and park photos, even with some bonus tennis court and piano pics (two of our favorite hobbies!). After the day, we received a sneak peek very promptly with an awesome of photos (~100 of them!) and a huge full gallery in about a month with lots of gorgeous film photos. There was a huge heat wave that weekend in San Francisco, and Katherine made the whole experience so pleasant and working with her felt like working with an old friend. She is so personable and I have been highly recommending her to my friends and family already! I would definitely recommend working with Katherine :)

One person commented that that the photos are "fun, sexy and romantic." which is what I was looking for, and another said "they are soo good. my favorite is the one with you in the air, best 4364...that is so fun and good capture of energy. 4378--way to hold him down! 4439-4 with the parasol is so cool b/c it reflects the light in the sky with a prism...and 4177 is like you two are on a honeymoon and made me happy for you! " of course she is then a little sad that she is fighting with her man, but they made up again and I joke that they need to have some photograph taken so they feel all mushy and good inside as well.
