Katherine sent frequent emails with updates and tips on how to prep for the day and we had a preliminary call where we were able to make a schedule and plan out the day since we also had a wedding photoshoot afterwards in Golden Gate Park afterwards. During the day of, Katherine was on-time, flexible with when the other people in our group arrived, and guided us through the whole morning with when to check in, where to take photos, etc. She gave us some prompts of how to pose but overall she let us be natural and encouraged to be comfortable in front of the camera. The ceremony was captured beautifully by her and she took great group photos. We then went to Golden Gate Park, and she helped us take some cute coffeeshop and park photos, even with some bonus tennis court and piano pics (two of our favorite hobbies!). After the day, we received a sneak peek very promptly with an awesome of photos (~100 of them!) and a huge full gallery in about a month with lots of gorgeous film photos. There was a huge heat wave that weekend in San Francisco, and Katherine made the whole experience so pleasant and working with her felt like working with an old friend. She is so personable and I have been highly recommending her to my friends and family already! I would definitely recommend working with Katherine :)

MPW was, without question, the most disappointing vendor we worked with for our wedding. Their work reflects complacency and a lack of professionalism that is difficult to comprehend given their reputation. I strongly advise against hiring them for your wedding. On the morning of our wedding, the team rushed every moment, creating unnecessary stress. During the reception, the issues escalated significantly. We paid a substantial amount for a same-day edit, which they repeatedly promised would be ready "in five minutes." This delay continued for over 90 minutes. As a result, the DJ stopped the music multiple times in anticipation of the video entrance, and approximately 90-95% of our 400 guests believed the reception had ended and began leaving. This completely disrupted and ultimately ruined our reception. Several months later, we received the final edited video, which was expected timing-wise. However, the quality was shocking. The video showed severe technical and artistic failures: the camera focused on a guest's armpit during the ceremony, excessive lens flares blocked the screen during our first dance, and extended shots included the photographer's bald spot instead of the couple. Additionally, important screen presentations prepared by my wife's family were entirely missed. When we contacted MPW to express that the video was unacceptable, a team member accidentally replied to our email in Filipino rather than internally. After translating the message, it stated that it was "the worst video he has ever seen" and that "the guy they hired was terrible." This confirmed our concerns about the quality of the work and internal oversight. We requested corrections, after which MPW sent a revised edit. Unfortunately, they only changed the presentation slides (after we provided the files again) and added excessive fade-to-black transitions. It was clear the video had not been fully reviewed. In multiple scenes, their crew can be seen sitting in the background or not paying attention to framing, with people walking through shots--further demonstrating a lack of care and professionalism. I then sent a detailed email with timestamps outlining every issue. Despite this still being the first proper revision, we were repeatedly reminded of their policy that additional edits cost extra. Each revision fixed one issue while introducing another, creating the impression that the process was intentionally prolonged to justify charging for additional edits. After 14 months of ongoing communication, we finally received the completed video. However, the raw footage--part of our agreement--was not included. We had to follow up again before it was finally delivered. At this point, we will need to hire another editor simply to produce a watchable and respectful wedding film. This experience included a rushed wedding morning, unacceptable filming angles, missed key moments, a severely delayed same-day edit that disrupted our reception, and over a year of exhausting back-and-forth. I do not enjoy writing reviews like this, and I am generally very understanding of human error. However, the level of negligence and lack of accountability we experienced was unacceptable. Alice has a warm and friendly personality. She talked about their experiences photographing at Snug Harbor, our wedding venue site. She showed us many samples of books, pictures and canvases her and her husband James shot over the years. They had beautiful work. We met with a few others online thru other friends and family recommendations but I already knew I had made my choice. We made it official and signed with Funico. I couldn't have been happier. My husband Joe and I had a very small intimate wedding with around 70 guests in early September. Given the small guest list, everyone stood out and we were able to get great shots of almost everyone. We were married outdoors on probably the most humid day of the summer. It was extremely hot. Poor James literally sweat thru his shirt! But that didn't stop him; he was everywhere, snapping away. James took a nice assortment of formal and candid shots. We were married and had our reception outdoors in Sung Harbor, so we had a lot of natural botanical backgrounds. Funico told me they knew the Snug Harbor facility well and they were true to their word. James knew all of the best areas to photograph on the premises. About six weeks after the wedding, we were able to view all of our photos online. We just finished choosing our favorite shots for our Wedding photo books.
