I had no idea they needed to be tuned every 6-12 months, we haven't tuned ours in many moons. I don't play but my daughter does and I must say that after an hour long deep tune session the piano sounds much better. I learned that each tuning should be a fine tuning not a complete overhaul. I also learned because of this Florida weather that all pianos should have a dehumidifier installed so that the keys and other wood moving parts do not become sticky or wrap which makes a lot of sense. This is something the piano store should recommend when you first purchase a piano but I do not recall them ever mentioning this. Anyhow, the piano teacher immediately noticed that the piano sounded much better so I guess I will have to get this thing tuned on a regular basis. Overall great experience, Don was able to accommodate my schedule and come to the house after five and can schedule weekends if needed. I highly recommend him for you piano tuning needs.

She had used him for two out of state moves and was really happy with his efficiency and professionalism. So I booked him to move me from my 10 x 20 storage unit in New Orleans, LA to my new home in St. Petersburg, FL. On Monday, a day and a half before my scheduled move date with Scott, he called me to tell me his truck had broken down and he was waiting on parts to get it fixed. I asked him how long it would delay him and he said probably a day or two. As I was on a time schedule, a delay with an open ended date didn't work for me. So I lined up another option for my move and asked him if he would do the unloading as promised on Friday morning. He made all kinds of excuses as to why he couldn't make this happen. He didn't want to do the unloading as he was only going to make a fraction of what he would have made if he did the entire move. His broken truck left me to scramble to figure out another last minute option, but he didn't want to pivot and help me with the unloading on the same day he would have been doing the unloading with his original commitment. Bottom line, don't use Scott Grassmyer and Freedom Movers.
